Dancing With the Stars 10

This week on Dancing With the Stars: The Results, it was the first ever College Dance Championship and Dance Center returns.

There are only five couples left in the season and this week was the first time all season the couples had to perform two individual routines.

Len gave his weekly breakdown of the couples.

Evan’s Waltz had parts that were fantastic while other parts were not his cup of tea. His Cha Cha didn’t have enough dance.

Erin’s Argentine Tango was fantastic but her Rumba had jerky stops and starts going on.

Chad’s Tango showed his poor posture and his Jive was funky.

Niecy’s Viennese Waltz showed no fear and was lovely. Her Paso Doble concerned Len and didn’t really wow the judges.

Nicole’s Fox Trot mesmerized Len from start to finish and her 50’s inspired Paso Doble was so genius the judges chose to see that dance again tonight.

The Gypsy Kings performed their new hit “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” from the upcoming movie Toy Story 3.

Jerry Rice, Len Goodman, and Kenny Mayne were back this season for another Dance Center.

Nicole and Derek was the first couple announced safe, which was no surprise. Chad and Cheryl was the first couple revealed to be in the bottom two.

UC San Diego and Purdue University each performed in hopes of moving on in Dancing With the Star’s first ever College Dance Championships.

UC San Diego received a score of 8 from each of the judges. Len thought they did a great job. Bruno noticed their intricate formations but told them to watch their lines. Carrie Ann said they need to make their movements a little bigger.

Purdue received a score of 7 from both Bruno and Len, while Carrie Ann gave them an 8. Bruno said they were good but didn’t think there was enough changing of figures. Carrie Ann thought they had a great spirit. Len thought it was rhythmic but also agrees that they need to change the pattern a little bit.

The Gypsy Kings performed again followed by more star evaluations from the Dance Center.

Evan and Anna were the next couple announced safe into the semi-finals next week followed by Erin and Maksim, which left Niecy and Louie to join Chad and Cheryl in the bottom two.

Niecy and Louie were sent home. Niecy said she had such a fantastic time.

Watch the semi-finals of Dancing With the Stars next Monday night at 8/9c on ABC.
