Alasia from America's Next Top Model Cycle 14

Last week on America's Next Top Model, the remaining models headed to their international destination. New Zealand. In their photo shoot, the girls posed with sheep and Alasia seemed to lack the focus that the judges were looking for from her. She was eliminated from the competition and today, spoke to RealityWanted about her age, her fights with the girls in the house, and what her main focus is right now.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What made you decide to try out for America's Next Top Model this cycle?
A. Alasia: I knew about the show but I couldn't watch it the way I wanted to. I didn't go to the casting call with intentions. I didn't know if I was going to make it or not. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Someone told me about the audition and the next day, I went. I wanted to take the opportunity and I didn't want to miss it.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Some of the girls felt that you were too young for the competition. Do you feel like your age factored into your ability to model?
A. Alasia: No, not at all. First and foremost, they're judging me off of how they were when they were 18 years old. They know that they were extremely immature or something like that. I think that's why they were saying that. They can't say that I was too immature because they don't know me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You had some conflicts with the girls in the house. How do you feel about the way you were portrayed?
A. Alasia: I feel like, with the fights in the house, any time I did argue or yell at someone, I feel like I had the right to do so because they had disrespected me. I didn't like that they were demanding respect from me when they weren't respecting me at all. Honestly, I was quiet until they provoked me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Who did you get along with the best?
A. Alasia: Angelea, oh my gosh! She's like my best friend. She's like a big sister. When I would argue, she'd pull me aside and tell me to calm down.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Having never left your hometown, what was it like to travel all the way to New Zealand?
A. Alasia: It's gorgeous! I felt like I got a double dose of the Top Model experience. Not only did I get to go out of the country, I got to go all the way around the world. All the people there are nice. It was crazy!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: On last week's episode of Top Model, you had to pose with sheep. Was it difficult working with animals in your shoot?
A. Alasia: I actually, honestly, really love animals. I'm not really afraid of them at all, even if they're trying to be vicious but even then, I understand. The only thing that bothered me was the smell. Other than that, I loved it.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How do you feel about the judges' criticism of you, that you lack focus?
A. Alasia: I'm not going to say that that's not true. At that moment, I honestly did. On the show, it sounded like I was making excuses but being under stressful circumtsances, not having a balanced diet, and being under that kind of pressure, I got sick. I didn't really tell people this but I had a really bad cold. I was weak, I was tired all the time. I'm 18 years old. I'm supposed to get 8 hours of sleep per day and I wasn't even getting half that. I wasn't focused. I was beat down.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's next for you?
A. Alasia: I do want to keep modeling. I'm still in high school. I graduate May 22nd. I want to commit to finding a really good agent, someone that I know will have my best interest in mind. I can't really focus on that because I'm in school right now. I don't really have a flexible enough schedule. I feel like school should be the most important thing for me right now. After I graduate, I'm definitely going to get into the industry.
