On the season premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Season 2 we find Jacqueline has had her baby boy Nicholas and along with her new baby the old tensions between Caroline and she are drifting away. Dina is working to stay positive and to clear anything negative out of her life and has chosen to ignore the Danielle stuff in an effort to stay above it all. 

 

Danielle starts the season by meeting with a priest being as she is a “devout Catholic”. Father Richard meets with her and she tells him all about the Carolina and Dina drama and how they dug up her past. Father Richard wants to know why she is so worried about what other people think. He suggests she forgive them and move on with her life. What awesome words of wisdom that we already know went in one of Danielle’s ears and right out the other, without ever being heard in the slightest! 

 

We find Teresa making red sauce with her entire family including the girls. She is two weeks out from delivery of as-yet-unknown-sex baby. The family gets together to make the sauce annually and makes about 180 jars of the sauce that will last throughout the winter. Teresa’s girlfriend is there, and she asks her if it is her time of the month to which the girlfriend says that Teresa’s father has already asked! Apparently, the sauce will spoil if it is! Later, it is Milania’s first day at school and Teresa is doing her best without a nanny to take care of the girls and get her to school on time! 

 

Albert Manzo has lost 70 pounds after visiting the doctor and being told it wasn’t if but when he was going to have a heart attack. Caroline and he go into the city to find him a nice new $9000 suit at Barney’s just in time for the annual Sheriff’s Fundraiser that they throw every year at their home. 

 

Chris wants to talk to Jacqueline about Danielle. He points out that she never called, texted or acknowledged in any way that she had a new baby, and that she obviously isn’t a very good friend. Chris wants to retract the welcoming of Danielle into his home and says she needs to cut her out of her life. Jacqueline won’t cut her out entirely just because he says to. 

 

Danielle visits Posche, a local store, where she knows the owner Kim. Kim keeps a tab for Danielle, even though Danielle doesn’t have a lot of money these days. She also tells Kim about how she spoke with Jacqueline and how Chris is not comfortable with them being friends. Kim, who Danielle says has been "loyal and true and a strong shoulder" says that it shouldn’t bother Danielle and that they are “Sicilian women” that take care of each other and forget Jacqueline. Later, Danielle goes to Nisha Nails, where she first met Dina who was a stock girl at the time (“just sayin…”). Danielle always goes to the same girl to get her toes done, and the girl knows all the gossip of the town. She tells Danielle about Caroline’s fundraiser that night and how it is the big event happening. Danielle did not know about it, but at this point, we are starting to see that Danielle CANNOT DROP her obsession with Caroline Manzo! Hello restraining order!!! She even ponders driving by later that night to see who’s cars are there and who showed up, but her sensible (and totally mortified beyond belief) daughters tell her not to do it and that it is “stalker” of her. She complies.

 

Jacqueline is worried about Ashley, who has moved out of the house because she didn’t want to abide by her curfew at the house. Now she is thinking about taking a semester off, and she is dating a boy that is four years older than her. Chris and Jacqueline don’t like that he is older, and Jacqueline asks if they are using protection. Ashley and she go to set the table and Chris gives the boy the 3rd degree and states outright that he is too old to be dating Ashley.

 

Caroline and Albert are getting ready for the $1000/person fundraiser and they make Albie and Christopher go through the backyard making sure there are no landmines for the guests. Albert suggests that they ask Vito to help them out. Vito is Albie’s best friend and new enemy now that he and sister Lauren are hot and heavy. At the party, Albie is still annoyed and is messing with Lauren. Dina, Jacqueline, Chris, Teresa, and Joe attend the party and after all the women sit down, Kim from Posche (Danielle’s girlfriend) shows and sits down at the table with her boyfriend Michael. Teresa asks her if she is no longer friends with Danielle, and Kim answers that she doesn’t know her well enough to be friends with her. Her boyfriend Michael chimes in and says that he has never liked Danielle and that she is a “pig”, that she hooked up with one of his friends and he doesn’t want Kim around her. Kim says she is a business woman and she is selling clothes to her.

 

The entire conversation is uncomfortable and mean. Jacqueline feels like she is in high school and Dina says that Kim and Michael were “wasted” and she doesn’t like how “two faced” they were about Danielle. It is really rude and shocking! Talk about pigs, that word should be reserved for this Kim and Michael. 

 

So, all in all Danielle is obsessed with not being included by these women, and these women (well, mostly, Teresa) are obsessed with keeping Danielle out of their inner sanctum. Is this what we are going to watch for the next 16 weeks? Oh Mio Dio!
