America's Next Top Model Cycle 14

"Big Hair Day"

On last night's episode of America's Next Top Model, it is down to just seven girls and the models fight harder than ever for the chance to take their modeling training international.

The girls are determined to keep pushing on in the competition, especially those who have yet to show real they're real contenders. Krista is frustrated that she has yet to win anything in the competition and is focused on getting the best picture of the week. For Alexandra, the competition has really taken a toll; she wants to come out on top, but she is feeling very defeated.

That evening some surprise guests pay the girls a visit. It is reality TV star and designer Whitney Port and legendary fashion model, Pat Cleveland. They are there to take the girls out for the night. A glam squad comes in and the girls are dolled up and dressed in items from Whitney's clothing line. Pat talks to each of the girls individually about how they should always exude embody their personality.

Whitney and Pat take the girls to the drag queen cabaret at New York's Lucky Cheung. A Dragalicious Tyra comes out and announces the girls as the special guests. Miss J. explains that they will be competing in a runway personality challenge. They must exude their personality through their walk and really sell themselves.

And it is the audience who will decide who is the best runway personality. The loudest applause determines the winner. Each girl adds a little flair to her walk but it is Krista that wows the crowd with a stellar divalicious walk and incredible manikin turn. She is the winner of the challenge as a prize she receives five outfits from Whitney Ports' clothing line.

Later, the girls receive a somewhat disturbing Tyra mail that reads, "tomorrow could be a hairy situation, don't get tangled." The girls find out exactly what that means in the morning. And again Alasia is late. So late, the girls leave her in the apartment. Once she realizes they left, she struggles to call the elevator and finally decides to take the stairs. At least this time Alasia didn't make them late to the shoot.

Once on set, Jay Manuel explains their photo shoot challenge. There fashions today are tendrils and tendrils of hair that are will be made into fashion. What kind of hair? Or whose hair? Who knows, but the finished look was quite spectacular. To spice it up a little the girls are divided into two teams based on their stylist. On team one is Anslee, Angelea, Krista and Raina. Jessica, Alexandra and Alasia are on team two.

The girls take their pictures individually, but the opposing team is right there on set heckling and booing their opponent as she tries to pose. The girls were challenged to make it seem as thought their "hair" was blowing in the wind. But they didn't have a fan so had to move to make the wind effect happen with their body movements. But for some of the models this was much harder than you would think and there were plenty of awkward jumps, spins and runs.

Jessica has already proved that she is a great poser and did an excellent job capturing action shots. Alexandra, however just looked awkward doing anything other than standing and looking pretty. Alasia and Anslee got stuck in their poses as well. They just didn't seem to break through or show any variety.

The next day the girls meet with the judges. Tyra announces that the girls will be going to New Zealand to complete their challenges! Well... only six of them anyway. The judges give their evaluations of the girls.

Jessica- the judges loved her midair pose, she is a model with a lot of potential

Krista- her all of her film was amazing and she had a great face in each frame

Anslee- her pose was very cliché, her face is beautiful but her body just doesn't match it

Alasia- she had a good picture, but she had no variety in her film

Alexandra- she didn't have the best picture, her body was very awkward but her face was stunning

Angelea- she owned her outfit and thought outside the box with her poses

Raina- she looked very strong, they loved her face

Tyra calls Krista as the best picture of the week. And in addition to getting her photo as digital art in the house, she also will be flying first class to New Zealand. Runner-up for best photo is Angelea, then Raina, Jessica and Alasia. Anslee and Alexandra are in the bottom two. The judges feel that Anslee has a very stunning face but she might just be a beauty model. Alexandra has pretty decent pictures and every now and then she gets a great one. But they don't see a drive from her that the other girls have. The judges giver her another chance and it is Anslee that goes home.

Until next week. Pose.... Strike it.
