Ashley Trainer Survivor: Samoa

I am going to start off with my tip of the week because this is so important and needs to be said! Yes, I am rooting for Russell but still this needs to be said!

Trainer Tip #9 - Never assume anything in the game of Survivor. EVER. The second you do that, you are asking for a blindside. Russell has a niche in the game that I have never seen. I think JT is an idiot and could have just made a game changing move.

However, I do need to say that I think making bold moves is great in the game of Survivor but, for someone on the opposite tribe, not so much... especially if you don't know what's going on over there!

Okay, so to start this crazy episode of Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains, Jerri was bummed out because her friend Coach got voted out. She had no idea that this was going to happen. Russell, Parv, and Danielle have a very strong alliance going on. I feel for Jerri, that's hard when one of your friends gets voted off.

Side note: Sandra is so funny! I love her one liners and I am happy to see her getting more airtime.

From the second I heard the clue for the reward challenge, I knew exactly what the challenge was going to be. I love that Rupert said he was the strongest. He may be when it comes to strength challenges but balance and weight are probably not his strong point. It was a good idea on the heroes' part to listen to JT, considering he played that particular reward challenge before (and won). Both tribes were smart in having the women participate.

When I saw JT mouth to Russell: "hang in there" and Russell put his hands up acting like a lost little puppy, my jaw hit the floor. Russell sure does play Mr. Innocent and vulnerable pretty darn well. I understand why they think the women are running the game.

Finally, the villains won and they got a pretty tasty feast. Parv lucked out with the clue in her napkin and I do love that she didn't share it with Russell. I don't think Russell gives Parv enough credit. I mean seriously, she's played almost 100 days! That's crazy.  Congrats both Parv and Amanda on your 100 days of playing the game. It's a huge accomplishment to play the game yet alone 100 days of it!

I love that Parv and Danielle now have an idol in their hands, and are not sharing with Russell.

When JT started talking about giving the idol to Russell, I about died. I think Amanda was on the same page that I was on. You never know what is happening at the other camp, plus they are called VILLAINS FOR A REASON! When he began to write his letter to Russell, I could just picture him reading it and laughing in his crazy way. I was right - he did exactly that!

During the challenge, I knew the second Russell talked to Colby that he wouldn't even rush through the challenge because he knew this would be a game changing move by getting the idol.

They did do a great job of not letting anyone know what was going on. He slipped that idol to Russell and no one even saw. I have seen that look on Russell's face and I think he was in shock just like everyone else at home was! Watching Parv and Russell read the note made me laugh along with them. They know what the idol can do for them and they know the merge is quickly approaching.

Back at camp, the scrambling before tribal starts. Everyone is trying to save themselves and sometimes, the best decisions are made last minute.

Tribal, I think the Villains finally made the right choice by getting rid of their weakest person, Courtney. I did like how Courtney called out Jerri about switching side's right in the knick of time. It's always nerve racking and when someone calls you out, especially when you are not expecting it that's not always a good thing.

JT probably made the biggest mistake he could have made. This was a huge move that could negatively affect the heroes in the future of this game. The second they merge, Russell is going to get full power over them.
