Ghost Hunters Season 6.1

by Chad Allen

Grzelek House - Plymouth Country, Massachusetts

TAPS heads back to its roots to investigate a family’s home where, ghosts that at first came off as friendly, have turned into a dark menace.  The family has been in the home for 30 years and claim that they had been experiencing paranormal activity since the first day they moved in but haven’t been concerned until they began being “haunted.”  Apparitions and dark figures have been seen throughout the house and one family member was actually punched and had the wind knocked out of him.  Other members of the family have experienced being poked or tapped and being awakened by apparitions standing at the foot of their beds.

TAPS co-founders Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes were the first to investigate the old, creaky house.  It wasn’t long before they both heard what sounded like a woman talking which was then followed by the living room becoming illuminated a spiritual light.  They headed upstairs and began an EVP session, hoping to make some type of contact.  The minute they went upstairs they began hearing noise downstairs but could not determine what the noise was or who was making the noise.  They then heard something upstairs but the minute they went up the stairs the noise had ceased.  Later in the investigation they would encounter multiple shadow figures and could not debunk the experiences.

Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango investigated the room of the daughter who was awakened in the middle of the night to a shadow figure at the foot of her bed and felt as if the entity was sucking it’s soul from her. As they were trying to communicate, a noise came out of no where and they could not identify what the noise was.

Amy Bruni and Kris Williams investigated the upstairs bedrooms, splitting up, hoping that the spirits would take advantage of them being by themselves.  Just as they were about to end their investigation Kris Williams heard some type of hissing, like a snake.   It was caught on the recorder and would be later analyzed but nothing could really be made of the noise.

The team and multiple personal experiences and seemed fairly impressed with the paranormal activity in the house.  One EVP they got came after Jason and Grant asked “If anyone is stalking you?   The ghostly response “Yes.”  Another EVP caught later was that of a woman saying “Do you see me?”  Not sure if TAPs calmed the nerves of the family but they did help the family realize that they can take their house back

NJ Bar and Grill - Mine Hill, New Jersey

Built in 1854, the NJ Bar and Grill was a hot spot watering hole and now serves a similar role with more of a family dining aspect.  At one point in time a mistress shot her lover right in the middle of the bar and it was called an “accident.”  The current owners have seen shadowy figures, witnessed objects moving by themselves, and having the lights go on and off.  The manager of the bar, who lives in the upstairs apartment, has reported many times that items in his room keep being moved or tossed to the floor.

Jason and Grant were the first to investigate the bar.  They heard a few noises but were able to track them down as a clunky refrigerator.  Not much more to report on this segment.

Britt Griffith and Amy Bruni used the flash light experiment in which they put a small flashlight on the table and asked the spirit to turn the flashlight on and off.  On cue, the flash light tuned itself on and off on demand.  I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it.   Check it out online when you have the time.   Apparently they had 46 minutes of footage of this occurrence.

Kris and Amy headed upstairs to the managers apartment and although they heard some rustling when they began asking questions they could not seem to get any consistent responses.

The team did get a creepy EVP from when Kris Williams went down to the basement to investigate by herself….with the camera guy.  As she was asking questions and monitoring the electric energy in the air a "growl" was heard.  The team could not make out any kind of words but I wouldn't be heading to the basement anytime soon.   TAPs seemed pretty impressed, especially with the flashlight incident, but didn't fall all over themselves calling the bar haunted.
