Cheryl George from The Biggest Loser 9

Last week, on The Biggest Loser, the teams had to balance their time in the gym with doing some good for others. It was work week, and that meant working with the volunteers of Feeding America to help spread awareness about and help fight hunger. At the weigh in, the black team wasn't able to shed enough pounds and Stephanie and Cheryl found themselves below the yellow line. In the end, it was Cheryl who was sent home to continue her weight loss journey and today, she spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about her experiences on the show and what she's doing to prepare for the live weigh in at the finale.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Whose idea was it to do The Biggest Loser and what made you want to do it?
A. Cheryl: Daris had the idea this time, he was ready! When The Biggest Loser first started, I wanted to, so we will split the credit on that one!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: We didn't really see any explanation as to why you got eliminated last night, what really went on?
A. Cheryl: I believe I was eliminated as a parent to go (weakest link, older). Sherry had Ashley on our team and they could not vote Sherry off because she had the highest percentage of weight loss. I was the only choice for all the young ones. Elimination to me is the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss, Sam or Stephanie, but they are a couple on our team, leaving Drea or myself.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was the Black Team really a battle of young vs. old?
A. Cheryl: Yes.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How did the twist (having to go to work and commute and not having the gym open 24 hours) affect your performance this week?
A. Cheryl: My performance this week was great. 5 pounds this week, 3 pounds last week, so you see, I did better and had a better percentage but no one was looking at that even though that's how we win.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How were you feeling separated from Daris, when the group was split into two teams?
A. Cheryl: Daris will do wonderful without me. He has matured into a super man. Two teams, no difference, we were there for ourselves and to become complete and learn how to get this weight off for life! We always supported each other no matter what - once my baby, always my baby! I love you, Daris, kick butt!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Which trainer did you connect to more on the ranch and why?
A. Cheryl: Bob and Jillian are both great trainers and know what they are doing. Bob definitely looked out for me and wanted to make me strong. Jillian wanted to bring out the beast in me and teach me to speak up for myself and be who I wanted to be!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When you beat the Blue Team last week, your team were definitely underdogs. What was it like overcoming that and beating them?
A. Cheryl: The only way to win is in the weigh-in and that's what we did!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the one most important thing that you walked away with from the ranch?
A. Cheryl: Balance in my life! Believing in myself again, learning I am important. And being able to do that with a member of my family there for support. What more could you ask for? Amazing!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What is your hope for Daris as he moved forward in his weight loss journey?
A. Cheryl: Daris has grown into a mature young man. I am proud of him and thankful I was there and a part of his journey. Daris will go far and know what he wants and do it. He looks great too!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You look fantastic at home. What are you doing to keep up the weight loss?
A. Cheryl: Thank you! I am grateful for all the help and support I have had at the ranch and at home. I will continue my journey, eating clean and keep moving, for the rest of my life. There is no looking back. I like the new me! This is not a diet, it is the way of life!
