Last night on The Biggest Loser, Michael beat Andrea in the biggest temptation showdown yet and got the chance to split the cast into the Black and Blue teams. Michael went for the jugular and made it a battle of the strong vs. the weak, massively pissing Jillian off. However, her underdog Black Team ended up winning in the weigh-in, forcing the Blue Team to send Miggy home.
Back to the ranch, where O'Neal, who had been given immunity and no team by Michael last round, was eagerly awaiting to see who on the Blue Team he would be replacing. They come in one-by-one, absolutely freaking him out because he doesn't know if Sunshine is coming back. So the tears start to flow--then she enters the room with that "I'm going to kill you" look on her face. After that O'Neal was clearly ready to fight and win.
This week, there's not a twist (yet), just a theme: work week! All the contestants would be working with the volunteers of Feeding America to help spread awareness about hunger and help fight it. But then, well, there was the twist, of course. The teams would have to commute and work an 8-hour shift, as well as coping with the fact that their gyms weren't open 24 hours. It's just like real life!
Now the challenge, where teams had to each pull a 33,000-pound semi truck. What is this, the World's Strongest Man competition? However, that's not all. After the pulling, they have to solve a puzzle with crates from inside the truck. It looks like another Blue Team blowout for this one, even with the puzzle at the end.
The Black Team, to their credit, really gave it their all, but it wasn't even close. The Blue Team pulled out at the beginning and only increased their lead, even with O'Neal's bad knee.
After the challenge, the contestants inform the probably well-informed trainers about the week. Cue Jillian to flip out because she expects them to have all the time in the world, while Bob tries to fix the situation with some good old product placement.
Jillian starts working her team hard, because she knew they were still the underdogs when it came to weighing in. She sets her sights on Cheryl and looks like she wants to kill her, while Sam tries to be the positive voice in all of this.
They can;t work out for long, though, because they're off to work! O'Neal got to call volunteers and thank them for their work, while others, like Sherry and Cheryl, had to do more of the dirty work, like inventory. After their shifts, everyone gets to talk with Steve, an overweight worker who lost his own overweight dad when he was a teen.
The teams go home and work out, then wake up and do it all over again. This time, though, Sam forgot his lunch. Conveniently, there's a Subway nearby! Cheryl and Sherry get to bond more, as well as pump each other up. Like Sherry said: "Because we're worth it!" Is L'Oreal sponsoring this show now?
It's last chance workout time and Jillian is drilling everyone hard. Bob is working them harder, too. O'Neal, despite his knee, was on the treadmill for an entire hour and Sunshine was like a supercharged woman. Eventually it was weigh-in time, and the results were as follows:
Blue Team:
Daris: -9
Koli: -10
Lance: -10
Michael: -9
O'Neal: -5
Sunshine: -7
Blue Team Total: -50 (-2.71%)
Black Team:
Andrea: -7
Ashley: -8
Cheryl: -5
Sam: -4
Sherry: -5 [immune]
Stephanie: -3
Black Team Total: -32 (-2.27%)
The Black Team got so close again, but they just didn't have the numbers to pull it off. Daris was excited that the Blue Team won, but I'm not 100% sure he realized his mom was in sudden danger of going home. Koli didn't say anything in the room, just in his confessional when he started to lose it.
We don't see much discussion, just a lot of Koli crying over Sam. Then, all of a sudden, Sherry, who's immune, votes for Sam, Cheryl votes for Stephanie…and everyone else votes for Cheryl. Not Cheryl! The lovable mom who we thought might go all the way?? Not a fun way to end this episode. At home, however, she's doing more than great. She's lost another 18 pounds since leaving the ranch, and she's not stopping under she's sure she can win the at-home prize.
