Randy Bailey from Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains

When you bring back a group of Survivor all-stars to play the game for a second or third time, previous relationships and alliances are most definitely going to come into play. This season, on Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains, some players returned without a person to trust or rely on (i.e. Candace, Colby, and Randy). Over on the Villains tribe, Randy couldn't seem to connect with his teammates and when they lost last night's reward/immunity challenge, he was sent packing. Today, he spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about his experiences playing Survivor a second time around.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was your reaction when you found out that you had been picked as a Survivor all star, and as a villain?
A. Randy: Excited to come back, couldn't care less that I was a villain. I was excited to play and I didn't care how I was labeled. Just the opportunity to play again was exciting.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was there anyone on your tribe that you were surprised was named a villain?
A. Randy: I didn't remember Danielle so I couldn't comment whether or not she should've been a villain. I think I was more surprised at some of the heroes. By definition, most Survivors are villains. A lot of the Heroes that I played against screwed over some of their people as good as any villain.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was there anyone that you were hoping to see in the game that you could have aligned yourself with?
A. Randy: I was happy that Coach was out there. It turned out that I enjoyed Jerri's company. She was pleasant to be around, believe it or not. I was hoping my friend Corinne (Kaplan) would be there. She turned them down, she had conflicts with work. I was pretty naked going out there. I didn't have any of my friends from Gabon with me. I didn't have many friends anywhere.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Who do you think could have helped you advance your game on your tribe?
A. Randy: You know, that's tough to answer. I blame Boston Rob. In the same hand, I don't blame him. You never know what can happen. Why he wanted me out, I don't know. Russell wanted me out because I was targeting his girl Parvati. I think Jerri, Coach, and Tyson... they went to bat for me in last night's episode.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Rob, Russell, and Coach seem to be fighting over the title of "King Of The Camp". Who's calling the shots right now on your tribe?
A. Randy: At challenges, Rob is the leader. There's no question about that. He's running the show and nobody's really questioning him that much. His strategy is usually pretty sound. Around camp, actually the girls are the ones barking out orders. The guys are the ones following their instructions. It's bizarre. It's like the real world, not the tv show, like the actual world.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Does it surprise you that, after 20 seasons of Survivor, the guys still let the women call the shots and use their charm to get ahead? You'd think they'd learn by now!
A. Randy: You would think, wouldn't you? Let me answer this using Russell as an example. We didn't see season 19 and he's doing the exact same thing that he did in season 19 which was align with a couple girls and maneuver from there. If the men had seen that Russell was incapable of forming an alliance with another man, you might be talking to him right now instead of me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: On last night's challenge, you faced off against James and I think anybody would be intimidated. What do you think when you realized you were matched up with him?
A. Randy: Nothing, I was wondering how that mud was gonna feel. I knew he was gonna kill me. There was no doubt about it. I was fine going against him. I didn't go up against James until I had watched seven other matches, in which we had lost every single one of them. How bad could I do?

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Why did you make such a case for Paravti to go home, over any of the other females on your tribe?
A. Randy: Parvati had a million dollars already. We had seen her game twice. I wanted Parvati out more so than any of the other people because of her friendships with many of the Heroes. I knew if Parvati made the merge and got hooked up with her Micronesia friends, that would've been trouble for all of us.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You do make a great case for Parvati to have gone home. Did it surprise you that hardly anyone listened to you?
A. Randy: I was surprised at the time but, after seeing the first episode with Russell and Parvati aligning and sleeping and cuddling together every night, it's not surprising at all. Russell wanted her there. That's his girl. It was frustrating.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Are you satisfied with the experience of playing Survivor a second time?
A. Randy: I'd have to say that ending of this chapter is not written yet. I did not go out there to be third evicted. When they asked me to do it, I said yes because I wanted to do as well or better than I did the first time. Nobody goes out there to be the first one voted out of their tribe. If they had called me and told me, "You're gonna play Survivor a second time but you're gonna be the third one voted out," I would've said no.
