Gia Allemand from The Bachelor: On The Wings Of Love

by Gina Scarpa

Perhaps many viewers saw Gia Allemand's exit coming on The Bachelor but she sure didn't. The model from New York took her time opening up to Jake Pavelka but put her heart on the line on this week's episode, on their overnight date together. At the rose ceremony, he first called Tenley's name and then Vienna's. Jake fed her those classic lines that she's gonna find somebody and that she's amazing but of course, it didn't soften the blow of getting her heart broken on national tv. Today, Gia spoke to reporters in a press conference call about her experiences on The Bachelor and her thoughts on the final two women.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How difficult is it to watch the episodes back and see Jake with the other women?
A. Gia: It was difficult because in your head, you don't see the other girls so I really started to think it was just him and I. It felt like it was just us dating. After seeing what they did, it was difficult. It struck a little emotion in me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I really appreciated the fact that you called out Jake for doing and saying the same things to the other girls that he was with you. Do you think that it bothered him that you called him out or do you think he appreciated your honesty?
A. Gia: I never thought about that. That's a really good question. I think he appreciated my honesty. He seems to like Vienna's honesty. It was really important for me to call him out on that. In my head, I thought this was our thing. The girls would be sitting around talking about him and it was like, "What? He did that?"

Q. Do you think it would have been better if Jake let you go earlier and before he met your family?
A. Gia: Yeah, it would've been easier for me. I wouldn't have gotten the experience that I got. I've always had problems opening up to people. After going through my last breakup, being able to feel feelings again was all in all worth it.

Q. Why weren't you able to tell Jake that you were falling in love with him? Do you regret that?
A. Gia: Yeah, I do regret that. I wish I would've said it because I thought about it. I had a bad breakup and my heart was really broken and I guess I was just scared in the situation to come out and say it.

Q. Out of Tenley and Vienna, who do you see Jake picking?
A. Gia: It's a tough decision because they're two very different girls. Tenley is the obvious choice. They have so many similarities. When I watch him and Vienna, it just goes. They have so much fun together.

Q. Do you still keep in touch with Vienna?
A. Gia: Right now, I don't have her number. I'm not allowed to but at the end of the show, I'll contact her. I hope I stay friends with her. I really got to know her as a person. I like her.

Q. Were you shocked when Jake chose Tenley and Vienna over you or did you see it coming?
A. Gia: It was a mixture of both. It was the first time I had opened up to him. I didn't do and say what he needed but I thought we had something. The other girls were just a lot further along with him.

Q. How did Jake seem at the taping of The Women Tell All?
A. Gia: He seems to be handling everything well. He seems very put together. He's always very classy. He never has a bad thing to say about anyone.

Q. You struggled with self esteem, even though you are so beautiful. Would you ever want to use your fame to help young girls, with similar issues?
A. Gia: That would be a dream. I would love to help people in that aspect and help girls get through bullying. It was so hard for me to find ways to avoid it and avoid mean girls. I would love to be given that choice to help girls in high school and junior high with that.

Q. Would you consider being The Bachelorette?
A. Gia: Yeah, I would definitely consider it. It's such an amazing experience and I would love to ultimately find love.
