Last week I had the chance to chat with RealityWanted member and Solitary 4.0 cast member Courtney Hill. Courtney was one of six RealityWanted members who landed a role on Solitary after posting her profile on RealityWanted and being contacted by Casting Director Leyna Raskoff. Maureen Francisco from Solitary 3.0 is recapping Solitary 4.0 and provided some interview questions below.

Q. RealityWanted: Thank you for taking the time to chat with us, I wanted to start out by asking you how you came across RealityWanted and the posting for Solitary.
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I was actually filming a pilot one day and a girl I was filming with told me she applied to Solitary off RealityWanted.com.  I came home, registered, and applied. This was the first time I searched the site and applied to a show.

Q. RealityWanted: Did your friend make it on with you?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: No she didn’t make it.

Q.  RealityWanted: It’s funny but you’re the second person we have talked to who applied after a friend told them to but the friend didn’t make it.
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I haven’t talked to her but I am sure she wasn’t happy.

Q. RealityWanted: Have you watched Solitary 4.0? Had you watched Solitary prior to applying?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: No.

Q. RealityWanted: Did you tune in to past episodes after you applied?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: After I got a call to interview with Leyna and Frank I went home and looked up the past episodes on Hulu.com. After watching a few episodes I became addicted and couldn’t stop watching. I watched past episodes with Tyler and RobRob and it looked so competitive I knew it was for me.

Q.  Maureen Francisco, Solitary 3.0: Moving onto your episode, what did you think when Val said you were the first to quit the treatment?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I thought she was playing mind games and I honestly thought it was a joke. I was waiting for her to tell me it was a joke but when reality hit me I was so sad.

Q. Maureen Francisco, Solitary 3.0: What did you learn from your stay in Solitary?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I guess I learned I am way more insane than I thought I was. But I really learned how to mentally handle myself better. I thought the physical part of Solitary 4.0 would be the hardest but it’s the mental game that gets you.

Q.  Maureen Francisco, Solitary 3.0: How has your life changed after leaving Solitary 4.0?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I have actually been getting more calls to do more television pilots, background work, etc. It is helping to open doors for me and I have gained respect from people who know me and considered me the bubbly blond type.  They had a chance to see my competitive side and now see me as a fierce competitor.

Q.  Maureen Francisco, Solitary 3.0: Were you portrayed accurately on the show?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: Overall I think I was.

Q.  RealityWanted: What was the hardest part of Solitary?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: The hardest part was the lack of sleep. I am a night owl so my schedule is already bad but the lack of sleep killed me since I need my 8 hours.

Q.  RealityWanted: What was the hardest challenge?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: The worst one was the slap happy challenge.

Q.  RealityWanted: Did you have a favorite?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I like the concept of the sweat challenge and I was amazed at how I did on the barftender challenge.

Q.  RealityWanted: Who do you think will win and/or who are you rooting for?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: I want a girl to win so I am rooting for Bea. If I had to pick a guy to win Solitary 4.0 it would be Rommel.

Q.  RealityWanted: Since you made it on a show via RealityWanted can you give readers some casting advice?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: Be diligent, login everyday to see what’s new and when you see a show you’re really a fit for apply. Timing is everything.

Q.  RealityWanted: We appreciate you taking the time to chat with us and if you land another role on TV via RealityWanted please let us know. Do you want to give out your Facebook or Twitter for fans?
A. Courtney Hill, Solitary 4.0: No problem, I am at www.twitter.com/chill8815
