Last night on Shear Genius, Arzo was eliminated after a difficult challenge involving interpreting food dishes as hairstyles. Arzo lives in the Bay area currently and has owned her salon for 15 years. She has also styled Rose McGowan and Ally Hilfiger. Editorially she has worked with clients that include Bed Bath & Beyond, MTV and Hood Star Magazine. Here is what Arzo had to say to Reality Wanted about her elimination last night:

Q. Chandra, Reality Wanted: How did you get involved with Shear Genius?

A. Arzo: I had watched the other seasons, and I am the biggest hair geek, I just love doing hair. I saw the show, I wanted to be a part of it and get down with these guys! Then, on Facebook, one of my friends, who is a major stylist, posted something about auditioning for Season 3.

Q. Chandra, Reality Wanted:In your opinion, how does Season 3 differ from the last 2 seasons of Shear Genius?

A. Arzo: The other 2 seasons are cool too, but this is a little bit different because of the caliber of stylists and the challenges are cooler. All the stylists are totally kick ass, and really good, they love what they do. They are very passionate. All of the seasons were great.  The game is stepped up and it’s a lot more glamorous. It was awesome to be a part of it.

Q. Chandra, Reality Wanted: On last night’s episode, how did you feel about the elimination challenge?

A. Arzo: I feel that the one thing the show is lacking is the caliber of judges. The judges aren’t judging on hair, they don’t know what to look for.  The challenge was cool, but there should be other judges. I don’t think it was fair, whatsoever.

Q. Chandra, Reality Wanted: Looking back, would you change anything?

A. Arzo: No, I would not have done anything different with the model. It was dope. Here’s the deal, the thing is there is a waitress that is serving food at a high end restaurant like The Dakota Restaurant at The Roosevelt. It’s a sophisticated, high end, edgy, cool restaurant. She is serving fish. What I thought was: make her hair smooth, sexy, clean, attractive, enticing so that when she came up to you, you would want to try the food. I think it did all that. It wasn’t some frumpy up-do. It was classy and I used all of her own hair. I built it up by cutting it, coloring it, I did everything I needed to do with it.  One of the requirements was client satisfaction. You couldn’t do whatever you wanted with these clients, and not only that, I am not going to mess up someone’s hair just so I could win something. I feel you can do it all, you can achieve all of the things that you need. Some of the other stylists, for example, Amy, who should have been eliminated, she didn’t even cut her girls hair.

Q. Chandra, Reality Wanted: Who are your favorite stylists on the show, now that you have been eliminated?

A. Arzo: Faatemah rocks, she is impeccable. Most of her work is breathtaking. Janine is a kick ass sylist. I have give it up for Jon, he is really good too.

Q. Chandra, Reality Wanted: What are you working on currently?

A. Arzo: I am working on putting San Francisco on the map, more so, for hair and fashion. Maybe another reality show that represents stylists a little better. I just want to do great hair and elevate the beauty industry.
