This week on Celebrity Rehab, the folks of Pasadena Recovery Center welcomed Kari Ann Peniche.  She was a Miss Teen USA title holder until nude internet pics stripped her of her good name.  Kari appeared on VH1’s Sex Rehab but was dismissed for being unruly.  Dr. Drew later learned that her addiction to crystal meth was the cause of her actions.  The veteran female patients (Heidi Fleiss, Mackenzie Phillps, Cindy McCready and Lisa D'Mato) welcomed Kari but were a little funny acting toward her.  Perhaps they sensed that Kari’s “true colors” would come out sooner than expected.

 

While the others are almost two weeks into recovery, Kari is at the beginning of detoxing.  Dr. Drew remarked that female meth addicts have a harder time coming down than males do.  They are easily agitated and feel like persecuted victims.  This theory is proved true as Kari immediately was resistant and rude toward the rehab techs.

 

Ol’ Monroe came back to visit her man donning a lovely mid-drift Obama t-shirt.  Monroe dropped off Tom Sizemore’s luggage but decided not to stay to visit Tom when the rehab techs insisted she do a urine drop.  The rehab techs did their beloved cavity search of the suitcases she brought and struck gold again.  Monroe tried to smuggle in Valium and Oxycontin for Tom!  Later, Drew talked with Tom about convincing Monroe to enter rehab.  Tom was down for the plan but we’ll see if it really happens.

 

During group therapy, we learned that Tom Sizemore is actually homeless.  Heidi was bold enough to be disgusted by Tom’s loss of everything.  Dr. Drew piped up in Tom’s defensive as he reminded Heidi that she plays with birds.  It didn’t faze Heidi, she loves her birds and at least she’s not homeless. 

 

Drew had a sit-down with Heidi and discussed her hatin’ ways.  She brought up her and Tom’s big fight where she left his house bleeding and barefoot.  Even the doc seemed to be tired of hearing the story.  She closed with the fact that she was glad he was there but she would have the same reaction whether Tom was making a million dollars or was dead.  Ouch!

 

Addicts hate each other one minute and are cool the next.  This was the case for Heidi as later she was laid up with Tom chit chatting about the days of old.  Like any red-blooded American man would, Tom brought up the fact that he and Heidi had great sex.  She reminded him that it was soooo long ago and he played it off like “yeah yeah...those days are over”.  You have to give the man credit for trying.

 

Later, Dr. Drew brought on some intense hands-on therapy.  He had the patients talk to a woman who killed a man.  They were close to tears as they listened to her dramatic account of driving while intoxicated and taking the life of a man who was as a husband, doctor and dad.  We must remember this folks, even if you are not an addict, drinking and driving is a no-no!

 

Back at the facility Kari Ann was fussing over cigarettes.  She whined like a baby when they offered her anything but Kings in a hard pack.  She called and complained to her manager and called the staff “idiots”!  The other patients were turned off by her behavior, as was I!  The staff finally produced the exact length of cigarette in the exact type of package Kari wanted and she stomped away to divulge in her cancer sticks.

 

Tom and Dr. Drew finally got Monroe back to the facility and were discussing her admitting herself to rehab.  She pretended to be game, but her face told a different story.  I could tell what was coming next by the way Tom was looking at Monroe.  He said that he wanted to go home.  He asked Monroe if there was any dope at home and if she had found what he stashed in the white suit.  She “claimed” she threw everything away although she was probably high on that very stash that very moment.  Tom told Monroe, “go right to the car and take me the F#$% home”.  Will Tom  Sizemore really leave again?  Will Kari Ann get her act together?  Will Dennis Rodman stop being so darn cool?  So many cliff hangers, I need a drink!
