Celebrity Rehab 3 popped off last night and the show has me hooked!   Dr. Drew has the task of aiding a slew of celebrities in their quest for freedom of addiction. Well, except for former NBA Champion Dennis Rodman; he’s only there by an order of the court.  He reluctantly entered the Pasadena Recovery Center with the tude’ of a 12 year-old.  Dennis rolled his eyes, chomped gum and wasn’t giving up much info.  Rodman’s release of choice is alcohol and a lot of it.  Other clips show Rodman downing drinks and ordering chics to get their booties in the bedroom.

Mindy McCready rose to stardom as a country singer in the 90’s.  Fame and the party life hit her hard and fast.  She crooned a few cowgirl hits, as well as faced charges of prescription drug fraud.  Mindy’s life spiraled downward due to drugs and took a turn for the worse while in an abusive relationship.  The guy went to prison and when he got out; she went back to him and got pregnant.  Due to Mindy’s mayhem, she lost custody of her son.  Sadly, the boy is in care of Mindy's mother who is a looney who brutally beat Mindy as a child.

Mike Starr was disbanded from "Alice in Chains" and his boredom and depression took him under.  Casual drug use became a habit and led to a severe addiction to methadone and cocaine.  As Dr. Drew interviewed Mike, he admitted to using methadone that morning and shooting heroin a few days prior.  He told Shelley (the head rehab tech) about an “oozing sore” on his body where he shot up, but he refused to let the cameras film it.  Later, when the other docs were taking a peek, we actually got a glimpse and I sure wish they hadn’t shown us.  Yuck!

Mackenzie Phillips…whooo weee!  She was a child actress, whose father John Phillips was a member of the band “The Mamas and the Papas”.  This jerk of a dad taught the girl to roll joints as a pre-teen, shot her up with coke as a teen and had a consensual sexual relationship with her as an adult.  Mackenzie doesn’t need rehab; she needs a do-over.  She actually claims to have been clean for 8 months, but is seeking extended help for her many extreme issues.

Next up; Lisa D’Mato.  We know Lisa from her tenure on America’s Next Top Model.  Lisa has been modeling since the age of 12 and also is a techno rapper and DJ.  This all spells PARTY to Lisa.  She dabbles in whatever drug comes her way but claims that she can handle it.  She denies being an alcoholic and says that she drinks for fun.  However, Lisa has a closet to clean!  She had the mom whose boyfriends had their way with the whole house.  Lisa and her sister were abused in ALL ways by the male friends of her mother.

Heidi Fleiss

The moment we’ve all been waiting for…big pimp, former Madam Heidi Fleiss!  What's up Heidi?  Er…wait…what’s wrong Heidi?  The once hot Heidi is now 43 and looking tore up from the floor up.  As we know, Heidi was busted for the high profile hooker operation involving big money and big stars.  After prison, she’s resorted to secluding herself with parrots (as in the tropical birds) as she snorts lines of go-dust.  When interviewing with Dr. Drew, she admitted to loving “white trash crystal meth”.  Heidi said she had used that day and also mentioned having four abortions in the past.

Some of you may remember Joey Kovar from Real World Hollywood in 2008.  We watched his struggle with alcoholism with heartfelt concern.  Well, now homie admits he was on cocaine.  Joey loves ecstasy and thrives on coke but wants to get clean due to a baby on the way.  Our shock value for this story was an actual clip of Joey doing a fat rail for the camera!

Group time.  All the characters of co-dependency gathered around to meet and discuss their problems.  Most were vague with their stories and Lisa mentioned her mom's molesting boyfriends again.  Dennis told the group that his mental capacity is WAY above this, he “gets it” and can do whatever he wants to do.  He said he hangs with folks like the addicts as well as people like Dr. Drew all day.  As much as I want to believe that D. Rod is just a social drinker that fell victim to the courts, I’m thinking that dude is in serious denial.

That wrapped it up for the premiere of Celebrity Rehab 3, but the best is yet to come.  The highly advertised seizure from Mindy and the appearance of additional patients are still to be seen.  Hang on guys, this is gonna get crazy.
