Last night on Dancing With the Stars,
Melissa Joan Hart and Mya shined, placing on top of the leaderboard. Aaron
Carter stumbled, giving him his lowest score of the competition, while Michael
Irvin and Louie Vito tied for the lowest overall tallies of the night.
Honestly, it’s a toss up for me about who’s
going home. I think Michael and Louie both have solid fan bases, so I’m
guessing either Chuck or Aaron (sadly) are getting the red light tonight.
Someone who shouldn’t be getting eliminated
this week? Melissa Joan Hart, who gets to reprise her awesome Charleston from
last night. I still can’t get over the fact that she got a 28—go her! I was
slightly disappointed because I wanted to see Joanna and Derek’s lambada again,
but I guess it’s the judges’ choice for a reason, right?
In the first round of saves, the two high
scorers last night, Mya and Dmitry and Melissa and Mark are both saved. In
jeopardy—Aaron and Karina. Gasp! I thought Aaron really had a shot at winning
this whole thing, but he really needs to step up his game if he expects to last
much longer.
Tonight’s musical guest is Shakira, who
gives two rousing performances, neither of which were “She Wolf,” which is
currently one of my jams. Instead, she takes us back in time a little and
performs “Hips Don’t Lie,” then does her new song “Did It Again,” both of which
were great.
We also see a taste of next week—the
dreaded group dance. You know, the one where we really get to see who’s up to
par and who just continually falls flat on their face? Good times. And even
better, next week’s group dance is the hustle! Oh man, that’s going to be
entertaining.
Back to the results, where Kelly and
Louie, Natalie and Alec and Joanna and Derek are safe. Then, Mark and Lacey and
Michael and Anna (surprisingly) are also safe. Then, Donny and Kym and Louie
and Chelsie are also safe, leaving Chuck and Anna in the bottom with Aaron and
Karina.
At this point, I’m starting to panic,
because if Aaron Carter goes home, I’ll be disappointed for sure. Luckily, he’s
safe another week and Chuck Liddell is the one headed home. At least he was a
lovable character while he was on the show, but dancing is definitely not his
strong point.
Tune in to Dancing With the Stars on
Monday at 8/7c on ABC to see who can master the hustle and who might get
hustled out of the competition!
