Recently we had the pleasure to speak with Lauren Hildebrandt who appeared on NBC’s Fame. Lauren, 24 and living in Los Angeles spoke about her upcoming projects and her experience on the show.

Q. RealityWanted.com: So how did you get involved with NBC’s Fame?
A. Lauren Hildebrandt: I did a lot of musical theater growing up and thought it would be the perfect fit. I went to the audition and ended up getting a call back.

Q. RealityWanted.com: So have you always loved acting and theater?
A. Lauren Hildebrandt: I have always loved music and theater ever since I was little. My parents introduced me to voice lessons when I was in high school and I realized then I wanted to be a pop star. I love music and can’t see myself doing anything else.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Tell the readers how things have been going since you realized what you wanted to do?
A. Lauren Hildebrandt: I started recording at 18 years old and shortly after being on Fame I met with a producer and we worked on my demo. He ended up taking one of the songs and remixed it and “Burnin Out” ended up #5 on the Billboard.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What have you been up to recently?
A. Lauren Hildebrandt: I toured for 9 months with Grease The Musical in Europe and I released my first album June 25th “Not Really A Waitress”. I have been performing all over and signed with Central Artists who are currently managing me. Also I am currently working on my new single and video that should be out soon.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Wow, that’s great stuff. So do you want to continue only in the music arena or branch out?
A. Lauren Hildebrandt: I love making music and would like to continue in theater and acting.
