On tonight’s episode of Project Runway, the designers meet up with Heidi Klum, who tells them that 13 women are waiting for them back in the design room. Their challenge is simple: Make these women happy. As they arrive to the design room to see Tim, they’re faced with their models. The models will be the clients in tonight’s challenge. They’ve been invited to a special industry event and what they wear is extremely important. The models are going to tell the designers what they want… which I’m sure sounds simple but there are definitely going to have to be some compromises on both sides in order for this to really work. Oh yeah, they also only have one day to get this done.

Johnny and his model click right away. They seem to have the same idea about things, while Epperson can’t get a straight answer out of his model about what she wants. Louise’s model is trying to go with a color scheme that she’s not comfortable with. Shirin’s model wants a royal blue satin jumpsuit, which sounds positively horrifying.

After a shopping trip to Mood, and a few hours to work, the designers are paid a visit by Tim. He feels that Althea has the potential to really wow the judges on the runway. Christopher has gone with a bold choice for his dress, an emerald green, and hopefully, it works for him and his model later on. I’m not loving what Qristyl is doing so far… I’m with Tim when he says that it just looks messy. Logan doesn’t want his design to look like a Smurf prom dress. While it’s a pretty funny comparison, I actually have high hopes for it.

The following morning, the models come in for their final fitting, with just two hours to go before the runway show. In their interviews, the designers sound off on who they think is in trouble and it seems like Althea, Epperson, and Johnny could land in the bottom but only time will tell. To me, it seems like Qristyl could land there, too.

Tonight’s guest judges are designer Marc Bouwer, Zoe Glassner, editor of Marie Clare magazine, and celebrity stylist and costumer designer Jennifer Rade. As the show gets going, there aren’t a ton of designs that stand out to me but I do like what Shirin, Logan, Christopher, and Louise did. I would’ve loved Ra’mon’s… without that ridiculous, giant flower. Carol Hannah also does a very solid job. I think she was able to achieve that wow factor that Tim was talking about.

Louise, Irina, Christopher, Nicolas, Gordana, Shirin, and Ra’mon are all safe.  Althea, Carol Hannah, and Epperson are in the top group, while the bottom three are Johnny, Qristyl, and Logan.  Althea is named the winner and it seems that Tim Gunn's instincts about her design earlier in the episode were right on.  Would you expect anything less from Tim Gunn, though?  The man has impeccable taste!  Qristyl is racked over the coals by the judges, for aging her model 15 years with her design and choosing the most boring color of all - black.  When it comes down to her or Logan, it's obvious who the judges are looking to eliminate and Qristyl is sent home from the competition.

Project Runway airs Thursday nights at 10pm ET on Lifetime.
