Big Brother 11: Week 10 HoH Recap

Big Brother 11

Previously on Big Brother 11, Natalie won the Head of Household competition, securing her a spot in the final three. The other three tried to strategize, but they all knew it would come down to the final Power of Veto competition, which Kevin won, forcing Jordan and Michele up on the block. Though she was given a touch of false hope, Michele was evicted and the remaining three houseguests began the three-part final HoH challenge.

When I first saw the houseguests up on the log on Tuesday’s show, I thought that this might be over faster than anyone would have imagined. It turns out, however, that this is not the case, and, 10 minutes into the show, all three contestants are still on the log. After 3 hours and 27 minutes, my heart sinks as Jordan falls to the ground, leaving the two stooges up on the log to fight it out for who will win part one of the HoH.

It’s obvious that Kevin realizes how bullheaded Natalie is, because he’s upfront with her right away. He swears up and down on everything that he’ll take her to the end (which, as of now, would probably mean that she would win the game), but she’s still not buying it. Cut to Kevin’s diary room, where he says he would never take Natalie to the end, so at least Natalie has some sense in her. Instead, she’s the one who wants to be trusted and she wants him to fall.

Even though they should have figured out by now that everything they say and do in the Big Brother house is taped 24/7, Natalie keeps pointing out that Kevin is agreeing to take her to the end, that he said this and he said that—get over it, Natalie. Since when has she ever been this intense about someone’s word? Is it because she can taste the $500,000? Not enough, clearly, because she trusts Kevin enough to drop off, awarding Kevin a bye to the final round of the HoH.

Back to the jury house where the fourth member, Jeff, arrives. I honestly thought it would be hostile and awkward, but Jeff is able to break the tension and it seems that everyone respects him and his game (as much as they don’t want to admit it). What is even better is that no one appears to want Natalie to win, which makes my day that much brighter.

As if this episode wasn’t enough time filler, Julie sits down with Janelle, Mike Boogie, Evel Dick and Danielle to discuss this season’s players. They all love Jeff and wish he would have won and they agreed Chima was an idiot…who wouldn’t?

In part two of the HoH competition, Jordan and Natalie face off in a memory competition…you know, almost as exciting as watching a baby play with blocks. They each have two minutes to play a skeeball-type game and roll the balls into the order of which the houseguests were HoH. Natalie get completely confused and only scores 5/10, while Jordan gets it right away and gets 9/10 right, earning her the other spot in the final round.

As for the seventh jury vote? As rumored, it’s America’s Choice…sort of. Since there are three houseguests left, there are three scenarios as to who could be the final two: Kevin and Natalie, Natalie and Jordan, and Jordan and Kevin. Each viewer gets to vote for one houseguest to win over another houseguest, but if that specific scenario isn’t correct for the final two, your vote doesn’t count. Complicated, huh? Judging by our recent polls, it wouldn’t even be a question for any one of these scenarios as to who would win—Jordan against Kevin or Natalie, and Kevin against Natalie.
