Last time on Big Brother 11, Jeff felt
betrayed by Kevin and Michele felt alone in the house. It all came down to the
veto competition, and Michele prevailed, winning safety for the week. She tried
to get Kevin to nominate Natalie over Jordan, but Kevin stuck with his plan and
put the second half of the power couple up on the block.
As expected, Kevin is excited that Jeff
is on his way out, Jeff is pissed that Kevin is trying to get him out, Jordan
is sad that her and Jeff are being broken up, Michele is overly optimistic and
Natalie just skates by another week. Natalie and Kevin bask in the temporary
glory of having the upper hand this week, and they both think that their
chances of winning HoH next week are pretty good (even though Natalie has yet
to win a competition).
Jeff knows he’s the target this week, so
he’s being the good guy and trying to keep Jordan’s spirits up in the game
because he actually wants her to win. It makes my heart melt that he cares this
much about her, especially since it’s clear that Jeff is the only one who
deserves to win. Don’t get me wrong, I think Kevin is making the right move for
his own game, but it’s still upsetting to see it.
Regardless, Jordan still wants to leave
over Jeff, but that means they need Natalie’s vote. Jeff confronts Natalie and
makes the point to her that if she votes to keep him, everyone competing in HoH
is going to keep her safe and go for Kevin. As this is unfolding, Kevin is
watching on the spyscreen in silent dismay, knowing that Natalie could easy
sway. Natalie, however, isn’t buying it and wants a better guarantee.
Cut to Jeff and Jordan cuddling and
talking about how their time in the house is coming to an end. They’re super
lovey dovey (and I’m guessing everyone else has gotten the memo to leave them
alone in the pool room), but in a cute way. It makes me almost want to see them
stay together after the show. Almost.
Jeff vents to Michele about the situation
and, out of the blue, Michele comes up with a brilliant deal: if Natalie keeps
Jeff, he and Michele will throw the competition, meaning Natalie will
automatically win HoH next week. Therefore, she’s safe and Michele and Jeff can
team up to vote out Kevin. Natalie is suspicious of Michele’s willingness to
throw the competition, but she seems like she might be taking the bait.
Apparently, according to her husband,
Michele is just as big of a nerd as she says she is and she has as bad of a
memory as she says she does. Actually, her husband seems kind of upset she’s in
the house. Random montage, but it makes me love Michele a little more.
Flash to the jury house, where Lydia and
Jessie are being awkward. Lydia still obviously wants to be closer to Jessie,
but Jessie wants to keep things platonic. Enter Russell, and Jessie and Lydia
are both disappointed to see him. Jessie breaks the news to Russell that
Natalie is 24, not 18, and he’s flat out shocked. How he thought she managed to
get around the eligibility requirements is beyond me, but hey, it is Russell.
Back in the HoH room, Kevin points out
that “lie” is in Natalie’s name (which is a really good line—points to Kevin
for that), so he’s worried, but he has no choice to trust her. Downstairs, Jordan
gives another too-cute-for-words speech, and Jeff (who also still thinks Natalie
is 18…) reiterates to Natalie that she has a free pass to win HoH if she votes
to keep him. The houseguests cast their votes as follows:
Natalie: JEFF
Michele: JORDAN
Because of the tie, it’s left to Kevin to
cast the last vote, but, judging by the looks on everyone’s faces, they know
what’s about to happen. Kevin gets feisty and evicts Jeff with a snap, but he
leaves the house to huge applause and a standing ovation. Jeff insists that
Russell was coming after him and he defends his choice to evict Russell to the
bitter end, which I respect a lot. Jeff knew what he was doing and he was
really playing the game, so it’s sad to see him go so short of the finale.
This week’s HoH is the classic final four
competition: “Fact or Fiction?”, a memory competition about what various
houseguests did after they got evicted. Jordan takes an early lead, but both
Michele and Natalie pull into a three-way tie with her after all the questions
are asked. After the tiebreaker, Michele and Jordan completely blow it and Natalie
wins HoH. All Natalie can do then is dedicate it to Chima. Really? You still
want to be associated with Chima? If I didn’t dislike Natalie already, that
would definitely be the nail in the coffin.
Tune in to Big Brother 11 Sunday at 8/7c
to see who Natalie nominates and if she’ll open up the second HoH Pandora’s
Box!
