This week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe and Lisa are getting ready to go to Los Angeles to celebrate Lisa’s grandmother’s 92nd birthday. Lisa is worried about visiting her brother’s grave, which her family is pressuring her to do. Her brother Meho, died three years ago.

Kandi is at the studio rehearsing when Kim stops by with her daughter. Kandi wrote Kim a song called “I Fly Above”. Kandi likes Kim and things she is pretty cool, so when Kim asks her to be her producer, Kandi agrees, as long as the stuff they do is good. Kandi has yet to hear Kim sing, so she is reluctant at first. Kim, on the other hand, see’s a lot of common ground between she and Kandi…sound familiar? Last season Kim thought that she and Sheree had a lot in common.

Later, Kandi and Kim meet up for dinner. Kim unleashes on Kandi, saying that “NeNe is unstable.” And “Lisa is pretending to be perfect!” Kandi does relate to Kim, as she felt like she was the odd one out when she was in the girl group Xscape.

Kim brings a copy of the single “Don’t Be Tardy to the Party” for Kandi to listen to, Kim wants to record the song with NeNe, but isn’t sure how she is going to do it with things so tense between the two of them.

Sheree, meanwhile, is getting ready for her first fashion runway show for She by Sheree. A publicist has found her, and is coordinating the show, which is going to be sponsored by Mercedes Benz. Sheree, as usual, is putting unreal expectations on the people that are charitably helping her for their own publicity…she doesn’t hesitate to ask for Tiffany & Co. “loaner bling” for the event, and to be picked up in a Maybach. As usual, the incredulous, jaw dropping faces around her say it all…Sheree sure does know how to work her reality celeb status!

NeNe and Kim are butting heads again in this episode. Kim is annoyed that NeNe is going to LA with Lisa, since they aren’t that close of friends. NeNe is annoyed that Kim is working on her so-called music career with Kandi. They both think the other one is jealous.

In Los Angeles, NeNe and Lisa drive through Beverly Hills, get their eyebrows done by Damone Roberts and shop Rodeo drive before sitting down and invariably, begin talking about Kim. Lisa wants to sit down and talk with Kim, set up boundaries, and find out why Kim has been spreading rumors about her being on crack, among other things.

Lisa takes NeNe to her childhood home in Inglewood, CA. Inglewood in South Central LA, is a far cry from Beverly Hills, as you may know from hip hop music. Just in case you don’t know, Lisa says she “wouldn’t raise her kids there.” NeNe is shocked by Lisa’s mixed-race parents and Asian family, shocked by where she grew up and calls Lisa a “hood rat” in a joking way.

After attending Lisa’s grandmother’s birthday party, Lisa agrees to visit her eldest brother Meho’s gravesite with her family. Sadly, she goes reluctantly, with her entire family, and is relieved afterwards for going. In proper “hood” style, Lisa’s brother Andre, pours some Jagermeister on the grave.

Later, Lisa says she feels better, as she and NeNe relax at the hotels rooftop pool, where Nene calls Lisa “gangsta boo.”
