The usual suspects are back for this new season of Ghost Hunters.  The Ghost Hunters International team finished up a pretty solid season last week and so the pressure is on.  TAPS goes back to its’ roots, investigating a regular house, a different take on things from the past few seasons where it was all about insane asylums, prisons, and nautical vehicles.

A house under renovation always seems to cause paranormal activities, and the Ladoucear house seems to be following suit.  Apparently whatever is haunting this old house has become more aggressive.  Furniture and appliances are being violently moved, voices, sounds, lights turning on by themselves, and black figures are just some of the items being reported by the family.

Kris Williams and Amy Bruni began their investigation in the basement where one member of the family saw a short black masked figure coming at him.  As they began asking questions they believed they heard a voice.  They played back their recorder and there was a voice and it said “Please Help Me.” That’s the kind of moment that sends shivers down your spine.  Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango began their EVP sessions in the master bedroom in the house and thought they might have heard some bangs in response to their question.  Team leaders and TAPS co-founders, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, spent time in the basement and were getting visible activity on their K2 meter during their questioning.  They believed the answers they were getting seemed to point that their were some entities in the house but that a more evil entity has recently become part of the house and was holding the “friendly” spirits captive.  Generally these “inhuman” entities are the most terrifying and dangerous types of spirits that exist.  Every question they asked got a response one way or the other.  Jason and Grant worked their way up to a crawl space in the house which they believed could be some type of portal…straight out of poltergeist, I know. As they were entering the crawl space they both hear a growl…the family has no dog.  They continued asking questions in the tiny crawl space and Jason began experiencing moments of hot and cold and this was followed by him getting scratched on his lower calf which was shown to the viewer.  The team closed down the investigation and you had to feel the evidence review would be filled with paranormal activities.

Everything described above was the core of the evidence that was shown to the client.    An additional recording was that of a growl.  One last recording brought to the client was a voice spoken in a foreign language but what it was saying could not be made out.  Apparently a former owner, who was German, died in the house.  Jason and Grant felt that the spirit was probably not human but was trying to act like a more evil spirit.  The team believes this woman may still be in the house but is dealing with this separate evil entity, but not the type of inhuman entity that should be feared.  The called the house haunted, a no brainer.

This old courthouse, built in the 1820’s, is part rehabbed and part trashed.  Some feel that a lot of the paranormal activity may be a result of 13 people being executed on the grounds.  Stories of haunting go back 50-60 years and continue to this day.  People report seeing faces in the windows, ghostly black figures roaming the halls, strange noises, and the voice of an “angry man” shouting at people and often including profanity laced messages.

It wasn’t long before Jason and Grant caught a thermal image of a human figure as they were traveling around the grounds.  As they headed up to the second floor they believed they heard footsteps coming from another room or above them.  They felt it might be coming from the attic but could not get any readings from the attic that would show the presence of a spirit but they could still not explain the knocking or footsteps they were hearing.   Amy and Kris began their EVP sessions and tried to get one of the former inmates to make contact but nothing seemed to occur that would lead them to believe that they were getting any responses.   Steve and Dave went to the area where a man was snuck up upon and shot in the head, apparently by his bother.  Steve began experiencing this loud ringing in his ears which he believed may have been a residual haunt of the gun going off or maybe the victims last moments he was alive.  Once he left the area, his ears stopped ringing.

TAPS felt the courthouse needed a further investigation because they had some good personal experiences but they didn’t have enough to call it haunted.  They were certainly moved by these experiences so I wouldn’t be getting too comfortable if I were the local caretakers.
