Hell's Kitchen Season 6 Rock

Pretty cool episode huh? I liked it, let’s jump on in kiddies!

I was wondering when the first naked/half naked/ass-shot would appear on Hell’s Kitchen. And on Tuesday night, the ice was broken. Sadly, it came in the form of some spongebonge sad-panties. Not that I was looking, my wife told me. I was actually looking at her ass when the show started.

For this episode’s challenge, they chefs had to create a menu to be worthy enough of a huge welcoming party for Staff Sergeant Otis James, who had just returned from Iraq, the night before.  Chef Ramsay pegged Suzanne and Robert to pick the brain of Latasha James, the wife of the celebrated soldier, to determine what their respective menus would be.

By the way, kudos to the producers of Hell’s Kitchen for ALWAYS including episodes dedicated to the armed forces and firefighters. Great job.

Back to the challenge! Mrs. James said she liked seafood, comfort food and he had to have grilled lobster. Pretty simple, right? Well, for the guys it was. For Suzanne it wasn’t that easy. “Macaroni and cheese is so played out!” she so proudly stated. I’m wondering what meeting she was in and what country she lives in.

Number one rule of exceeding your guest’s expectations: GIVE ‘EM WHAT THEY WANT!

Cajun-rubbed steak with grilled lobster sounded like what Mrs. James wanted; broiled lobster didn’t. That’s why the girls lost. Kevin said it best: “Robert directed …he didn’t dictate”

So, it was on to the dinner service where the ladies have not been able to win. New Sous Chef got them in the hole? Oops, my bad Heather.  You know I love you, slim!

How about Tana Ramsay making a surprise appearance? I thought that was cool since Mrs. Ramsay has never been on and she helped the women decorate the dining room. I think that Gordo was much calmer when Tana is in the building.

How ironic is it that Tana and Gordon are welcoming Staff Sergeant Otis James “home” and they aren’t “home” I’m not hatin’; I’m just sayin’!

During service, the men looked pretty much in control the whole way and it was obvious that Tek was going home if they lost, which they did. Kevin seems like he is a man amongst boys. He just seems like this is child’s play for him. Along with Ariel, I think they are cool under pressure.

Ramsay was pretty chill on the insults too. Tana chill him out? He called some of the women Madame several times! Pre-Tana Gordon would have unleashed some serious bitchassness based abuse. I think she should go so I can get back to logging my Ramsay quotes!

On the elimination, Tennille was right; she should have fought hard to not go up on that block! Ramsay loves to see who wants to fight for their spot. She said her piece and I agree with her, she did very well and shouldn’t be up there. Way to fight; now you gotta back it up! Tennille has been getting better each day.

Tek was cool, I like her. She went out gracefully and appreciative of the opportunity. I think we will see more of her in the future, rock on Tek. I was wrong about Jim, but only because the guys won. I actually like the guy; he doesn’t take shit too seriously. You need that in this field, but in this competition you have to move your ass and Jim’s “easy like Sunday mornin’” pace won’t cut it.

Thanks for reading!

11. Amanda: Didn’t think she was that bad, but she didn’t look that good either this week
10. Suzanne:  Ehh… I dunno, do you? A little too busy ‘round the mouth for me.
9. Sabrina: ... crickets ...
8. Jim: Where are the quotes?!?!
7. Andy: Getting better than I thought!  Catch his cooking at Tremont 647 and Sister Sorel in Boston.
6. Van: Much better than he started, just had to find his groove and focus that energy on the food.
5. Tennille: Rising up where she should be.
4. Robert: … And the beast returns! He’s got his swag back in his step; and he’s cocky like yours truly!
3. Ariel: I like her style.  Clearly the best of the women, right?  But, a great leader has to make the team better.
2. Dave: Still looking good! You have to wonder how long he can be a hero before the cast gets in the way?
1. Kevin: Mr. Cool is in a good spot, he will have to make a move soon though.

If anyone knows where any of the chefs work, let me know so I can plug it!
