Nick Starcevic Big Brother

By Nick Starcevic

It’s week 5 inside the Big Brother house and the ratings continue to grow. The show is starting to pick up and the storylines are really starting to come to fruition. Buddy “Aces” Israel showed up in the house to promote his movie, “The Goods” and a couple of houseguests got a kick out of Piven being there. It looks like the coup d'état will be used this week, by Jeff, and the sides will continue to even out. It’s starting to become a very entertaining season. Let’s look at who’s in great position through week 5.

(spoiler alert)

Week 5 RealityWanted Big Brother Rankings:

13th Braden (-)  Evicted

In the words of Braden himself, “Congratulations.”

12th Laura (-)  Evicted

Big Brother savvy but not as much as Ronnie “The Lich King” Talbott.

11th Casey (-)  Evicted

DJ Mingle Mixx is now available for birthdays and bar mitzvahs.

10th Ronnie (-)  Evicted

Back to mining mithril and fighting paladins in Azeroth.

9th Jessie (-)

The coup d'état looks like it’s going to be used this week and Jessie will probably get the short end of the stick with its use. Jessie has actually been playing a pretty decent game and I’m surprised he’s made it as far as he has. There is the possibility that he could still stick around but if the houseguests are smart and he’s there on the block, they should take him out now.

8th Natalie (-1)

I have a feeling that if the coup d'état is used, then Jessie and Natalie will be the two houseguests up on the block. I’m not sure which way the houseguests will vote but I have a feeling that Jessie will be the houseguest to end up going to the jury house. Natalie is still in a very susceptible position this week and she’ll have to do a better job of being more personable and trying to work on some new alliance members, if she makes it through this week.

7th Lydia (+1)

Lydia is currently on the block right now but as I stated before, I feel as though Jeff will use the coup d'état and Lydia and Russell will be taken off the block. Lydia is playing a pretty decent game, as well, although she seems really unstable and this will continue to put her in bad spots in the game. She’s made some pretty good moves throughout the game thus far and I think she has a way with making alliances within the house. If Jessie leaves this week, that can only help Lydia concentrate more on her game.

6th Chima (-)

Chima is going to go ballistic when her nominees are replaced this Thursday and it will be great television. I have a feeling CBS is loving the fact that things are playing out this way because of the way she berates production. She may be an immediate target next week, depending on who locks up the upcoming HOH competition. She has a couple enemies inside the house already and I’m sure Jeff will be one after the new nominees go up on Thursday.

5th Jeff (-1)

I think that the coup d'état will hinder Jeff’s game play in the end. If Jeff uses it this week, then he is sure to make some enemies including: Chima and whoever stays between Natalie and Jessie. He is also not very sociable with Michelle. If any of that group wins Head of Household this Thursday, then I would expect Jeff to be on the block. If he were not to use the coup d'état this week then I could see him being less of a target for the next couple of weeks.

4th Michelle (-2)

Michelle becomes more socially awkward as the weeks go on. You are supposed to be creating stronger bonds inside the house, with the more time that goes by. Michelle is doing the polar opposite of that and it’s really hurting her game play. She has proven to be a decent competitor with winning her two vetoes but I really don’t think she has enough personality to make it to the final two anymore.

3rd Russell (+2)

A lot of people are not that keen on how boisterous Russell is within the house. At this stage in the game, he is still waffling back and forth on who’s allegiant to, as well. Right now, he is in a good spot with Jeff and Jordan and he may even be saved this week and taken off the block when/if the coup d'état is used. I have a feeling he will be alright moving into week 6.

2nd Kevin (-1)

Kevin drops for the sole reason that I think that Jordan is just sitting in a much better position this week. Kevin proved valuable with winning the Power of Veto. I don’t know if he’ll use it to take Lydia off but if he does he could ruffle some feathers and it could be all for nothing, if the coup d'état is used. The next couple weeks will be crucial for Kevin but I think he is a great game player and really takes everything in.

1st Jordan (+2)

I really don’t see Jordan winning the game but as of this week, I feel as though she is sitting in the best shape out of all the houseguests. I think that as long as Jeff is around, she will be on the back burner to get out of the house. She has a great rapport with almost everyone inside the house. In the long run though, unless she gets herself into the final two on her own, she will not be brought to the final two by anyone else because she is just so likable.
