On tonight’s episode of The Real World: Cancun, not much has been settled between Joey and Ayiiia, who are still avoiding each other.  Besides living together, they still have to work together, which creates a tense and awkward situation.  Not only is Joey not interested in working things out with Ayiiia, he doesn’t seem to too interested in his job with Student City either.  Typical Real Worlder.

After partying the night before, Joey decides to sleep through his shift without calling anyone to let them know that he wouldn’t be at work.  That puts Derek and Jasmine in a tough position, who have to deliver the bad news to their supervisor that he’s not coming.  I mean, you kind of have to wonder what the heck Joey is thinking because any Real World house member or fan knows that if you get fired from your job, you have to leave the show.  Surprise: he gets another chance.  That’s good for Joey, who I’m sure has many more Spring Break-ers to get his hands on before heading home for good.

Jonna’s boyfriend, Matt, has headed to Cancun to pay her a visit.  They seem to be very in love but beware: being on The Real World can tear any couple apart.  I reserve judgment on whether they’ll last until the season comes to a close.  Ah, here we go.  Jonna and CJ almost kissed one night… CJ feels Jonna went in for the kill while she blames him when telling her boyfriend about it.  When he heads home, it seems things are slightly uncertain with them and boy, it doesn’t take Jonna long to get lonely.  No sooner has Matt boarded a plane that Jonna starts cozying up to a Spring Breaker named Kirk.  Not cool.

Matt's no dummy.  He knows that something isn't right and tries to get info from Jonna but she's not offering it up.  Bronne tells her that her behavior is uncalled for (which it is) but she seems to think that she's not doing anything wrong.  All I know is... I would NOT be having that with my boyfriend for a second.  Know it.

Joey is called in for a meeting about missing his shift.  He's asked if he wants to stay and if he wants to be part of the staff.  Of course, he says yes and is placed on probation instead of being fired.  He vows to change.  We shall see...

The Real World: Cancun airs Wednesday nights at 10pm ET on MTV.
