Hell's Kitchen Season 6

by Gina Scarpa

When we last left the chefs of Hell’s Kitchen, Joseph was ready to throw down with Chef Gordon Ramsay because… actually… I don’t think any of us are sure why exactly.  As he approaches Ramsay, security immediately steps in and waits to drag him off while the two exchange heated words.  Joseph repeatedly calls him a “bitch” until Ramsay has had enough and tells him to get out.  In the parking lot, Hothead says that any kitchen would be proud to have him work there.  Uh, beg to differ, buddy.

The elimination ceremony continues on and the four chefs nominated are asked to defend themselves.  Tony is eliminated and, with the men’s team down two chefs, Robert returns to the blue team.  The night has taken its toll on the chefs and they understandably go pass out in their beds.  Unfortunately for them, there’s a fire drill around 2am, which Gordon feels is a perfect time for a challenge.  Oh, I’d want to kill somebody.  The chefs are going to have to feed the firefighters and the team that feeds their side of the dining room first wins.

The menu for the challenge is chicken alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic bread.  Not exactly rocket science.  Does it still shock anybody that some of these people can’t even make GARLIC BREAD?  Though it takes them a little while to get started, the women pull off a win.    As punishment, the men have to clean the firetrucks while the women head out in a helicopter ride to get pampered as their prize.  Cleaning the trucks isn’t so bad.  I’d rather do that than prep work in the kitchen.  That’s the worst.

While climbing the stairs back into the kitchen, Kevin rolls his ankle and it looks nasty!  Dave is also injured… having hurt himself while cleaning the trucks.  What are these people doing?!  After a trip to the hospital, they’re back but I don’t know how much help they’ll be at dinner service tonight.   Two people need to be waiters and Dave (smart guy) and Lovely step up to work the front of house.

The blue kitchen is a bit of a hot mess but Van manages to turn out risotto that wins over Ramsay.    The red team hits their stride and starts turning out orders but Lovely is having a bit of a tough time playing waitress.  Even though they do a decent job, Ramsay declares them the losers saying that it was so much work to get anything done!  Ariel is name the best of the worst (gee, thanks a lot) and will nominate two people for elimination.  Lovely is nominated… no surprise there… as well as Tenille.  Damn, that girl can’t catch a break.  Neither is eliminated but Ramsay sure scared the crap out of them, didn’t he?

Hell’s Kitchen airs Tuesday nights at 8pm ET on FOX.
