Bohemia, Czech Republic
Chesky Krumlov
The Chesky Krumlov or Castle Krumlov was built back in the 13th century and is one part of an 800 year old “Gothic Compound” of 43 buildings sitting on 15 acres.  By far, this would be one of the tougher investigations for the team due to the size of the area and the time they would be spending there.  The theatre on site is the oldest active theatre in the Czech Republic and its’ ghostly claim comes from an actress who took a dagger from the leading man during the play, whom she was in love with but that love was not reciprocated, and stabbed herself right in the heart.  The voice of that actress has been heard many times over.  Besides the reports of fully body apparitions who some believe is the former baroness, there is a full skeleton body of a woman who is believed to be a saint “resting” in a clear sealed casket. Another dungeon area displayed skeleton parts from those tortured and left to die.

The investigation began in the aforementioned theatre and both Robb Demarest and Ashley Godwin both heard not only a woman’s voice but other noises that sounded as if someone was shuffling around the stage. Robb and Joe Chin began hearing voices in one part of the castle and hoped that maybe some of their questions were answered during their EVP session.  The actual evidence was a little light, in fact, very light.  The personal experiences would have to be what the team would have to go with so they could not call the Castle haunted, but again, one night in such large place was not going to be enough investigation time.

Rathlin Island, Northern Ireland
Manor House

Built in the early 1700’s, the Manor House was filled with so much negative paranormal experiences that priests were actually brought in to do an exorcism.  The exorcism itself was filled with stories which were narrowed down to one room in which items were tossed through the air and the alleged entity was blasted out the window by the priest conducting the session.  Doors have been heard slamming and of course, what haunted site would be without the usual stories of black, shadowing figures and disembodied voices.

Dustin and Barry Fitzgerald believe that they caught a figure crossing their path in the room where the exorcism was done, leaving a temporary mildew stench. This odor suddenly vanished.  Later on in another bedroom, female voices are heard, audible not only to Barry and Dustin but the viewer as well.  A lady is said to appear to those staying in the room.  Ashley and Robb investigated the same room and believe they heard a woman’s voice as well and later Ashley believed that she heard a sound like some taking a breath.  The evidence again was basically non existent and you could tell that the client was almost shocked by their findings and maybe even skeptical.  Ghosts don’t always come out on cue and maybe this is a situation where something was missed or they needed more time to investigate.

It’s always tough for the show when there is very little, if any, actual evidence during the investigations.  That being said, you wouldn’t want them faking hauntings either. Both locations they investigated still carried interesting stories and there were more than a few personal experiences by the team members to create some entertainment.
