This week, on The Bachelorette, Jillian finally did something that the rest of us would’ve done the first night: eliminate the guy with the foot fetish.  Tanner caused some drama when he told Jillian that Wes (and perhaps some of the other guys) had a girlfriend back home.  At the rose ceremony, Jillian wasn’t feeling the connection anymore and eliminated him from the competition.  Today, he spoke to reporters in a conference call about his fascination with feet and why he threw Wes under the bus.
 
Q. You were very entertaining and fun to watch on the show.  OF course, the foot fetish is going to be the talk of the town.  What is the perfect foot?
A. Tanner: It was a lot of embellishing on my part.  Girls’ feet are not a deal breaker but I love girls’ pretty feet.  Girls’ feet are feminine and guys don’t take care of their feet.  High arches are great but it’s not a deal breaker.  Painted toes are the thing.  That’s what it takes to have hot feet and Jillian had them.
 
Q. Why did you strip down in front of Jillian?
A. Tanner: You get half the part of the story on that, due to editing.  We were all talking about what we wear, which you heard.  I’ve been thinking that I’ve been the comedian of this whole thing so I thought I’d bust out and show everyone my main piece.  I wanted to have fun with it.  She said it was a little awkward but I’m not scared to show what I was wearing and I just went with it.
 
Q. Why did you name names regarding guys having girlfriends?
A. Tanner: I think that, when me and Wes first moved into the bunkhouse, there was a lot of conversation going on.  There was a lot of joking going on.  When he was talking about having a girl back home, I didn’t know if I should take him seriously or not.  I knew I didn’t have a girl back home.  I never wanted to tell Jillian 100% that Wes had a girlfriend if I wasn’t sure. 
 
Q. Was Wes the only guy you suspected had a girlfriend?
A. Tanner: I just meant that I didn’t know at that point.  It was really unclear to me.  I felt like, for me to stick around much longer, I’m not going to start a rumor but there was definitely some stuff going around.  I never suspected that anyone else had a girlfriend but it was always in the back of my mind that Wes may. 

Q. You’re a Texas boy.  What was it like to travel all the way to Canada for the show?
A. Tanner: I had never been on a train or a subway so for me to be able to go to Canada and experience all that was phenomenal.  It was awesome.  The scenery overtook me.  It was absolutely so pretty.  We didn’t get to experience it because we’re stuck in the hotel and have no access to the real world but it’s a good country!

Q. How were feeling the night that you were eliminated?
A. Tanner: I didn’t know Jillian was gonna cut me that night.  I didn’t know what was going on.  It was just really tense in there and it’s so hot in those rose ceremonies.  I had already had some cocktails.  I was definitely uncomfortable.
