After the last season of The Real World, set in Brooklyn, I thought perhaps MTV was going back to casts that had something to say, wanted to change the people thought, and hoped to make a difference.  “Perhaps,” I thought at the time, “the days of the Hollywood cast were behind me forever.”  Cue the cast of Cancun, ready to party and get wild in Mexico.  What else did you expect, though?  This is The Real World and this is Cancun.  It’s going to be an absolutely insane season!  I’m getting ahead of myself, though.  Let’s meet the roomies…

 

CJ is 24 years old from Boca Raton, FL and is a serious college football players.  Ayiiia (with way too many I’s in her name) in 21 years old, hails from San Diego, and was the online winner to get into The Real World house this season.  Bartenders Jonna and Derek, both 20 years old and from Arizona, work together and are the only two housemates who previously knew each other.  21 year old Emilee, from Boston, has never lived out of the country and is looking forward to experiencing new things. 

 

Bronne, 21 years old from Yardley, PA, says he gets in trouble all the time for the dumbest things.  Jasmine is a 22 year old Texas girl with big energy and an even bigger smile.  Joey, 21 years old from Massachusetts, is this season’s rocker and I’ll be interested to hear his tunes when he breaks out the guitar.

 

The jobs are back this season the roomies will be working for StudentCity.com which provides a safe and fun spring break for college students.  Is that even a job?  That just sounds like fun!

 

The roommates meet up for the first time at a restaurant and high five each other for everything, from being gay to being Hooters waitresses to being adopted.  Hey, whatever you wanna celebrate, right? 

 

This season, the eight (semi) strangers will be living in a suite, instead of a house which reminds me of the Vegas cast.  This suite is pimped out in true Real World style and you can’t help but drool a little over it.  Massage chairs, pool tables, group showers, the world’s biggest computer, and a giant pool are just some of the things that will entertain these people over the next few months.

 

I don’t know if he’s trying to be this season’s Puck, but Joey seems on a mission to rub the girls the wrong way.  At the bar the first night, he gets so drunk that CJ has to put him in bed before the festivities can continue.  Immediately after, Bronne pukes on the floor of a bar.  Can no man hold his liquor?  Come on now!

 

On the second night, Joey finds a rocker chick that’s his speed to make out with.  Across the way, Bronne is making out with a cougar that’s not so grrrreeeat.  Joe’s hookup tells him that Bronne is currently sucking face with her mom.  That… is… dis… gusting.  Joey takes the girl home and is proud that he’s the first one to have sex in the house.  Because Joey was busy hittin’ it, CJ went and slept in Emilee’s room, which most definitely does not sit well with his girlfriend back home.  She was planning to visit him in Cancun but quickly changes her mind after hearing how his night went.  He decides to call things off with her for the time being.  How convenient that she opened the door for him to leave.  Now he can hook up with whoever he wants and by whoever, I mean Emilee.

 

The Real World: Cancun airs Wednesday nights at 10pm ET on MTV.
