The show started out with a bang and a group dance with solos for each couple. This PASO dance-off was brilliantly choreographed to Pink's "So What" which in and of itself is not an easy feat. All three couples were so great there is no way I can compare them. Only a dancer or a judge can have that honor tonight because all that they can pick on are the technicalities that the average non-dancing individual would never notice. The dance was beautiful, hot hot hot, and perfection! The judges gave Shawn & Mark a score of 28; Melissa & Tony a 29; and Gilles & Cheryl a perfect 30.

Then it was time for one of my favorite parts of the competition - the freestyle dance performances where there are no rules to follow.  Here are my thoughts on those:


Shawn & Mark ~  Shaw was cute as a button.  It was full of energy and very fun to watch.  The judges enjoyed it as much as I did and awarded them a perfect 30.  TOTAL SCORE = 58


Melissa & Tony ~ I thought this dance was unbelievable and it left us wondering who the Olympian in the competition is!  I didn't get Carrie Ann's comments about it being disjointed.  Huh???? The judges didn't seem to love it as much as I did and awarded them a 27. TOTAL SCORE = 56


Gilles & Cheryl ~  I have to agree with the judges on this one.  I was disappointed with the choreography and wanted to see more of Gilles and what I know he can do on the dance floor.  The judges awarded them a 28.  TOTAL SCORE = 58

It's anyone's guess who will win this competition.  All three are worthy of the mirror-ball trophy.  My favorites are still Melissa and Gilles so I do hope it's one of them who wins, but I won't have sour grapes if Shawn wins either because she has rocked it just as hard as the other two couples.  Good luck everyone and may the best dancer win!
