This week, on America’s Next Top Model, the girls embraced the culture of Brazil. They arrived at a dance hall to find it filled with couples dancing Samba. Juliana Leite is their Samba instructor and teaches all of the girls how to dance Samba. They must have an awareness of what their face looks like while they dance. Celia was told she wants it too much and desperation is not good at her age. Aminat was very natural at dancing. Allison just couldn’t seem to grasp the concept of dancing. Teyona also had trouble and looked like she had two left feet on the dance floor.

The challenge for the girls this week was to dance and make it look like they knew what they were doing. Modeling is all about illusions. The winner, Celia, got to choose one other girl to share her prize with. It was no surprise when she chose Allison since they have a close bond in the house. Celia got beautiful black earrings and Allison got a turquoise pendant necklace.

The next day, the girls were awoken early in the morning to get their hair and makeup done in their own house. However, halfway through they were quickly told it was time to leave. They traveled two hours outside of the city deep into the jungles of Brazil to find Tyra near a broken down car. The girls got their hair and makeup finished so they all looked like different exotic birds. Once hair and makeup was done, they went on set where Tyra was their photographer.

At elimination the next day, all of the girls had great reviews. Allison got the best picture of the week for her sweet and vulnerable photo. Teyona received some mixed signals from the judges. Half of them loved the picture and thought it was beautiful, the other half thought she could’ve done a lot better. Aminat’s photo was interesting and different while still very stunning. Celia had major strength in the picture but when it came time for the judges to make a decision, they sent her packing.
