This week on America’s Next Top Model, the girls said goodbye to New York and hello to Brazil!

When the girls first arrived, they met the host of Brazil’s Next Top Model, Fernanda Motta. The girls paired up and were given a card with an address on it. They had to get into taxis and go to a flower shop to pick up the Girl From Ipanema’s favorite flower, Bird’s of Paradise. Once they did that, they then had to go to the Botanical Gardens with the flowers to give them to the Girl From Ipanema, Helo Penheiro. The pair that won was Natalie and Fo. They each had a basket of goodies waiting for them back at their new home.

The next day the girls showed up to a group of guys who were doing a form of martial arts. They taught the girls some of the basic techniques so they could use them when they were modeling. Jay shows up and tells them that this challenge is a photo challenge. The girls used the martial arts techniques in their photos and whoever won got 50% more frames that they would be taking away from the girl of their choice. Fo won and chose Teyona to take 25 frames from to get her back for last week.

On the day of the photo shoot, the girls were taken to a poor neighborhood in Brazil. Their costumes for the photo were supposed to encompass a Carmen Miranda look while still keeping the fashion edge to it in the photo. The girls wore head pieces with lots of fruit piled up and an abundance of jewelry from necklaces to bracelets.

At elimination, Allison got called first to have her photo displayed as digital art in the house. Her photo looked active, alive, and sexy according to Tyra. She definitely turned it up a notch this week. Celia’s photo was missing a sparkle and it was her weakest shoot so far. Fo’s was cute but she took the shoot too literally. There wasn’t enough fashion model portrayed in the photo. Teyona had a great mix of both Carmen Miranda and fashion model. Aminat looks like a model in person but is not modeling in her pictures. As for Natalie, she was too boring and lacked energy which led to her elimination.
