This week on Make Me a Supermodel, Amanda and Gabriel continue with their flirting game, while the rest of the models meet in the kitchen to rejoice over CJ’s dismissal. Laury decodes the photo shoot email – the next shoot is underwater. This news freaks Salome out since she doesn’t know how to swim. Let’s see how she copes!
New York in spring isn’t the best time do an underwater shoot, it’s only 45 degrees out. Howard Schatz is shooting them underwater, where they have to perform under an extremely uncomfortable situation – holding their breath for up to 60 seconds. Salome is not doing well, and can’t even handle the breathing practice. Johnathon is first: he breaks loose and has a great photo of him trying to break free of the nets. Sandhurst was a natural, as usual. He consistently puts out great photos. Brendan was told to just look pretty, and I don’t really think he succeeded – too much pout in his lips. Salome nearly sinks in her photo shoot at first, but managed to get it done and the photo wasn’t half bad.
Back at the house, Amanda and Gabriel have a heart to heart and apparently, he’s her rock. Hopefully, he doesn’t go home, for her sake. Colin’s photo is so good “it’s gonna get him laid”. When all’s said and done, Jordan won the challenge. She’s going on a go-see at People’s Revolution, and she’s bringing Salome along with her. Sweet gesture, from a surprising source although Salome sees it as a tactical move because she’s the “fat girl” who wears a small instead of an extra small. Jordan booked the gig and will be walking for major fashion editors.
The models sit down for a large family style dinner and drinking is happening, things are going to get interesting. Gabe said Amanda get in a drunken quarrel because of some drunken comment, but they do reconcile before the night is over.
This week’s catwalk challenge has the ladies as fire, sexy and powerful, and men as ice, cool and confident. David Ralph, a walking coach from New York Model Management, is here this week to critique everyone’s walk. He calls Brendan out on his cockiness and Gabriel on his blankness. But, Brendan still walks with such cockiness and the judges know it. Gabriel still looked blank. They heard David, but they obviously didn’t listen.
The judges call Salome on her weight, saying that she’s “girlfriend attractive” but not “model attractive.” Brendan gets taken down a notch, which was so necessary. Jordan, Salome, Mountaha, and Sandhurst are the strongest – just like most weeks. Finally Sandhurst wins immunity! Gabriel, Laury, and Brendan are all at risk. The final decision is between Gabriel and Brendan. This was all to get Brendan to not be so cocky, a smart decision on their part. Gabriel is going home, and Amanda breaks down in tears. Their showmance is over. We’ll see how Amanda handles being alone in the weeks to come.
Next week on Make Me a Supermodel, there’s a double elimination. Tune in to Bravo on Wednesday 10 PM EST/PST time to see who stays and who goes.
