Ghost Hunters

Belcourt Castle – Newport, Rhode Island

Back to the Castle after first investigating 10 years ago, TAPS was hoping to use their more modern equipment to track the latest paranormal activity occurring at this old home built in 1891. Decorated over the years with artifacts from over 30 countries, the interior was a lot like the original Wayne Manner in the first Batman movie.  The Castle serves as more of a museum than anything else these days and the ghostly stories now come from the local caretakers and infrequent visitors.  The most popular figure seems to be of the more modern owners, Donald Tinney.  More information about the castle can be found at http://www.belcourtcastle.com

Jason and Grant tracked some interesting heat signatures, resembling footsteps that seemed to run away from them as they walked through various rooms which was coupled with some activity on the K2 meter.  Later in the investigation, Jason seemed to be getting some responses when asking whether or not he was welcomed….the answer appeared to be no.  The team was able to catch some white noise, which seemed to be a woman humming, recorded in the same area where a woman in a white gown had been seen by some visitors during a tour, unbeknownst to the tour guide.  One last audio recording came when Kris Williams asked whether the spirit present was the owner of the house, to which the voice replied “Yes.”  TAPS left the investigation one more time with the same final analysis of the Belcourt Castle…Haunted.

Sacco’s Bowl Haven – Somerville, Massachusetts

No Rock N’ Roll bowling at this old alley, which looks like it came out of a time capsule from the 1930’s.  Even the pins are those used many years ago before the common figure eight type shape became the norm.  Old buildings tend to be active paranormal sites, and the workers seem to be experiencing strange phenomenon.

The team went into the alley and investigated two at a time to make sure their own noise wouldn’t cause any interference during the investigation.  Jason and Grant seemed to get some immediate response on the K2 meter as they asked for an old timer named “Charlie” to make his presence like he had done so many times before to the alley workers.  TAPS did a lot of good debunking, and it was starting to look like there were more head games going on with the bowling alley workers then ghosts running wild.  This does not discount the action Jason and Grant received on their K2 meter from time to time, but a few of the ghostly sounds and occurrences seemed to be explainable.  Jason and Grant were not about to call the bowling alley haunted but the place still rated high on the creepy scale.
