Isabella from Americas Next Top Model

It’s never easy being the first one eliminated on a reality show and America’s Next Top Model’s Isabella found that out the hard way.  For their first photo shoot, the contestants headed to Central Park in New York City, where they participated in an innocent childhood game while a group of bad girls looked on.  The 19-year-old model was eliminated on this week’s season premiere after her photo, in which she played doge ball, failed to impress the judges.  Today, Isabella spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview and reveals who she thinks will be this season’s biggest drama queen and reveals her thoughts on the photo that sent her home.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Were you a fan of Top Model before you joined the show?
A. Isabella: I only started watching America’s Next Top Model in cycle 9 and 10.  I auditioned for cycle 11 and I got a callback to New York but I didn’t get to the final cast.  Fortunately I made it for cycle 12 and I loved it.  I love the creativity behind modeling.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When you arrived for the final casting, was it overwhelming?
A. Isabella: Definitely!  In Vegas, there were 34 of us and it’s like, “Okay, I’m gorgeous and tall but there are 343 other girls here who are gorgeous and tall.”  Then, meeting Tyra Banks herself… Tyra is a force to be reckoned with.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Were there models that immediately stood out to you as girls who would go far in the competition?
A. Isabella: There were girls I was surprised that didn’t make it into the house and there were always girls I was surprised did make it.  Aminat and Celia really struck me, though.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Top Model is known for having its share of drama.  How do you think things will go this season?
A. Isabella: Most of the girls I talked to are amazing and friendly but there is definitely gonna be some drama.  Sandra is definitely bringing her over the top personality to the house.  I hope, as she goes into her career, she learns to tone it down a bit.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What do you think went wrong at that first photo shoot to cause you to be eliminated first?
A. Isabella: Actually, I thought my photo shoot went really well.  Mr. Jay said he was surprised at how graceful I was based on his first impression of me.  I was pleased and confident going into panel.  When the judges said they didn’t like my photo, I was blindsided and surprised.  I kind of liked the picture.  I’m not an expert and the judges on the panel are but I think there were girls there with weaker photos.  Sandra had a weak photo and a weak walk.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Are you happy with your experience on Top Model, despite being eliminated first?
A. Isabella: Oh yeah, I’m satisfied.  I wouldn’t trade it for anything.  I wanted to meet the people behind the photos - the makeup, set, and wardrobe people.  I got a peek into the industry.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Do you hope to continue modeling in the future?
A. Isabella: I do want to continue modeling.  I want to move to the city, take my career to New York, because there are so many job opportunities there.  I’ll go knock on the doors of some agencies and get my name and face out there.
