Hells Kitchen Colleen

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: How’s your media interview day going?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: I love it, I am a such a ham.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: I forgot to check the FOX site, but what state are you out of again?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: I am in Nebraska and our culinary school is in Omaha, Nebraska.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: I bet it’s cooler up there than it is on the West coast.
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: It’s actually warm, about 75 degrees today.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: That’s funny, did you see the kid from Puerto Rico on American Idol (Fox plug) talking about how cold 75 is in CA?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: I did, he is such a doll.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: Ok, let’s get into the meat and potatoes of the show. What lead you to consider and apply to Hell’s Kitchen?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: As the owner of Classy Gourmet I received a fax about the casting call for season 5. I took the fax around to my students asking who wanted to go get yelled at by Chef Ramsey. I ended up taking the flyer home and after talking with my family I decided to try out.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: So you asked your students who wanted to get yelled at, so you knew what it may be like, was it more hellish than you expected?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: I expected it to be hard since I had never been behind the line. It was very hard to be put in a new situation inside that kind of environment. My education is more front of the house, had I known what I know now, I may have reconsidered.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: So if you had to do it again you wouldn’t?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: No, I would do it again but would have gone in with a different attitude.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: But didn’t Gordon Ramsey have it out for you?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: Absolutely, I was one of the only ones untrained on the line and he knew I was a culinary instructor not a chef.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: Do you like Chef, I know there is downtime we don’t see during the course of filming?  Would you call him a friend?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: I would not call him a friend. I never had the chance to see the real man, I only saw a tyrant who was spitting and frothing at the mouth.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: You didn’t get to spend any quality time with him?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: No, he didn’t spend any real time with the ladies. Even when we won challenges, he didn’t really hang out with us like he did with the guys.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: So Chef Ramsey is a man’s man?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: He is.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: After your time on Hell’s Kitchen would you ever recommend going on it to someone?
A. Colleen, Hell’s Kitchen 5: I certainly would, you send up growing as a person and it’s a life experience.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted: Well our time is up, thanks for the chat and have a nice weekend.
A. Colleen, Hell Kitchen 5: Thank you.
