The release times from Hellbrunn Place in Salzburg, Austria were:

Tammy/Victor 1013am
Mel/Michael 1210pm
Amanda/Kris 1212pm
Margie/Luke 1230pm
Brad/Victoria 1253pm
Cara/Jaime 117pm
Kisha/Jen 152pm
Mark/Micahel 200pm
Christie/Jodi 242pm

Teams discover that they must drive their marked cars to the Salzburg train station, get on a fast train to Munich, and transfer there to a train direct to the Munich Airport. The first flight that is reachable after doing that is a Lufthansa flight at 325pm and Tammy/Victor are the only team that can get on it. It proves to be a curse, however, as the flight has mechanical problems and returns to Munich. By that time Tammy/Victor are too late to book the second flight, Tarom at 445pm but Amanda/Kris, Margie/Luke and Mel/Michael get on it and arrived Bucharest 745pm. Brad/Victoria when they reach Munich airport assess their risks and decide to take a 730pm flight to Amsterdam connecting to arrive in Bucharest at 1210am. This was only a slight advantage over the other teams who took the 930pm flight direct to Bucharest, arriving 1225am. Brad/Victoria made the initial risky decision, but it was compounded by KLM airlines. Not shown on the telecast was the availability of an earlier Lufthansa flight that would have given Brad/Victoria more connect time. When Brad/Victoria reach Amsterdam after a flight delay, the last flight to Bucharest is gone and they are stuck until the next morning. It would not have made a difference ultimately, but KLM rebooked them on a nonstop to Bucharest arriving at 135pm instead of a Lufthansa combination that would have landed them 80 minutes earlier.

So the first three teams arrive and get a clue to go to the National Sports Palace for gymnastics. That was a challenge for Tammy/Victor who appeared to be dropped a long way off by their taxi driver and then find the way in the dark since it was well after midnight. They find a ROABDLOCK “Who’s ready to access their inner Nadia?” It is a challenging set of tasks on the Balance  Beam, Parallel Bars, and Floor Exercise elements of gymnastics competition. So the selected individual had to don a leotard, get trained by real Romanian pixie gymnasts, and be judged by  real Romanian gymnastics coaches. The parallel bars looked quite difficult to me, but all selected racers got through it so the judging standards may have been lowered just a bit. The Balance Beam took them to their limits, but nobody had an accident. Floor Exercises looked pretty easy. So racers would emerge with their next clue about 30 to 60 minutes after entering.

That clue sent them to the Brasov train station where there was a massive bunching for the 630am first train. All teams except Brad/Victoria got on this train and arrived in Brasov, a major city of Transylvania, around 930am. They had to get to the Black Church to find a cluebox outside which presented a DETOUR, Gypsy Moves or Vampire Remains. Gypsy Moves required the team to get to a created gypsy village to lead all the possessions of a gypsy family onto a horse-drawn cart, including an old car body, truck tire, seat, and assorted junk. Vampire Remains requires the teams to go up a hill along a marked path to find a slightly buried coffin, then drag or carry that coffin down to a set of stakes. All of this takes place on the property of Bran Castle, 24 km south of Brasov. There is the first key which unlocks the first lock. On the coffin itself is the second key which unlocks the second lock. Then the teams open the coffin and take out square wood frames and impale them on the stake until they find one with a flag inside. That wins them the clue to the pit stop.

Amanda/Kris were in first place reaching the gypsy village (which was created and populated by World Race Productions expressly for this DETOUR), but they lost their fannypack with passports and money while they were unloading the contents of the cart they had moved. They were fortunate to find it after a brief search and that it cost them only a short duration of time and one place at the finish. Tammy/Victor had huge problems on this DETOUR. He did not see the red and yellow route marker directing him to the right so they went left and far up the mountain following a red and white marker. Tammy argued with Victor multiple times but he kept going until he finally had to admit that his stubbornness was killing them. He promised to not play the “Big Brother makes all important decisions" card again. I’ll believe that when I see it.

The pit stop is at Villa Panoramic 2km from Bran Castle. Here is where 5 of the 8 remaining teams probably stayed:
Ground floor—2 BR, 1 Bathroom, living room, kitchen
Second floor—3 BR, 1 Bathroom

Finish order was:
1. Mel/Michael
2. Amanda/Kris
3. Kisha/Jen
4. Margie/Luke
5. Mark/Michael
6. Christie/Jodi
7. Cara/Jaime
8. Tammy/Victor
9. Brad/Victoria, who are eliminated
