On last night's episode of Survivor: Tocantins, the Timbira tribe lost yet another challenge and were faced with the task of eliminating one of their own.  It came down to Erinn and Jerry but the tribe ultimately decided that Jerry needed to go.  Sickness had been keeping Jerry from performing well in the game and he seemed ready to go and take care of himself.  Today, Jerry spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview.  Read on to find out his thoughts on who should lead Timbira, why he didn't step up, and who every player should be watching out for!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What made you want to be a part of Survivor: Tocantins?
A. Jerry: When the show contacted me, I thought, “It’s a million dollars.  Why not?”  That was the reason I tried out.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Do you have a lot of experience being out in the wilderness and fending for yourself?
A. Jerry: Oh yes.  I have been with the National Guard for 26 years and I spend most of my time outdoors.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How does being in the National Guard compare with being on Survivor?  Are they similar in any way?
A. Jerry: Yeah, setting up the shelters, divying up duties… that’s pretty similar.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: As someone who has been in the National Guard for so many years, you must be used to being in a leadership role.  Did you intentionally not take on the role of leader with your tribe?
A. Jerry: In my current position in the guard, I’m the leader.  I could’ve been the leader of Timbira but I didn’t want to.  I wanted to be laid back and low key.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Tell us what happened in your last few days in the game and the problems affecting your health.
A. Jerry: From day 3 until I was eliminated, I was having stomach problems.  The last 3 days, I couldn’t eat at all.  It was 100 plus degrees and I couldn’t eat and had very little water.  I held on as long as I could.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: If your tribe had voted someone else out instead, would you have stayed?
A. Jerry: I would’ve stayed but, in a way, I wanted to go.  It was not my top performance.  It wasn’t even 50%.  I didn’t want my team to keep losing challenges because I wasn’t at my best.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Timbira started out the season looking strong and now they can’t seem to win against Jalapao.  What is going on with your tribe?
A. Jerry: We didn’t have… we need a leader.  We had a bunch of chaos and we needed one person to make the decisions.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Coach seems to think that he should be the one making the decisions.  Do you think he’s the right man for the job?
A. Jerry: My pick would’ve been Brendan - he’s a more levelheaded guy.  He can take a stressful situation and calm it down.  With Coach, his anger would’ve taken over.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Watching the show on tv, has there been anything that surprised you?
A. Jerry: Oh yeah!  A lot of stuff!  I had no idea that Sierra and Sandy went looking for the idol on that first day… Brendan and Taj on Exile Island.  He came back totally different.  I believed what some people told me but I always had doubts.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: If you stayed in the game, who would you have wanted to align yourself with?
A. Jerry: Brendan, Tyson, Taj, and JT.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Who is the player that everyone should be looking out for?
A. Jerry: Stephen is a sneaker.  He’s the one you never hear about but he’s gonna be like a snake in the grass.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What has life been like since Survivor: Tocantins started airing?
A. Jerry: Everywhere I go, people yell out, “Jerry!  It’s you!”  It’s been so exciting.  People have asked me for autographs and pictures.  I see what celebrities go through and I’m not even famous!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Many people go on reality shows in the hopes of becoming famous.  Do you have any aspirations to stay in the entertainment industry?
A. Jerry:  I’d like to go on a talk show and give my views and opinion on things.  If the opportunity came up, I’d consider it but I’m also content with what I’m doing.
