Ghost Hunters International (GHI), “Buried Alive”

Dragsholm Castle – Dragsholm, Denmark
This 13th Century Castle doesn’t carry the look of the castle most people think of but it certainly carries the creepiness one would expect. While renovating one of the rooms of the castle in 1912, workers found the skeleton of what turned about to be a woman.  This woman turned out to be a daughter of one of the past families, who was buried in the wall after the family found out she had been impregnated by one of the local peasants.  I guess there were no time-outs in the old days.  The skeleton still sits today, in it’s original spot for all to see.  One of the stranger experiences occurred when Joe Chin was bit in his arm while investigating the dungeon, something only experienced in the “Poltergeist” movie.  Barry and Dustin had multiple communication experiences, all caught on film and audio.  The team didn’t call the castle haunted but maybe it was because Joe did not get rabies from his bite.  The Dragsholm Castle would certainly be a solid follow-up investigation candidate.

Jose Bonifacio Cultural Center– Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Built in 1877 on top of a slave burial ground, the center has had multiple reports of full bodied apparitions.  The team set up all possible video and still camera equipment they had in order to capture as many of these apparitions as possible.  Considered one of the oldest buildings in Rio, it’s location suffered from the surrounding city noise, which gave the team a challenge when trying to decide whether or not a sound was someone from the other side trying to communicate or just a bum stumbling down the street after too many bagged drinks.  The one interesting event came when Dustin had heard chains dragging in the attic, something that was also picked up by the audio recording devices and became at least one piece of evidence.  This “chains” sound would correlate with the fact that many imprisoned slaves had wandered the area before suffering their uneventful burial on the grounds.  Again, all sounds must be weighed against the local city noise.  The team had little to no evidence to call the Center haunted, so they packed their bags and moved on.

Extra Note:
Ghost Hunters returns on March 11th.
