This season, on The Real World: Brooklyn, the 8 roommates are basically left on their own in terms of pursuing careers and the first to go after what she wanted was Baya.  She's an aspiring dancer - and a very good one at that.  Baya decides to try out for a hip hop conservatory in New York and several of the roomies tag along in support of their friend.  Unfortunately for Baya, the program isn't exactly what she hoped for and instead of treating dancers with respect, the people in charge there attempt to break dancers down and intimidate them.  Soon after auditioning, Baya found out that she had been accepted into the program.  She quickly turned down the offer, saying that her heart wouldn't be in it  and felt that she needed to pursue other opportunities instead.  In the long run, it seems like it will be the right decision for her.

Well, Chet and Ryan are just a couple of pranksters, aren't they?  On this week's episode, they both learn that there's such a thing as taking things too far.  For some reason, Chet is really interested in JD's condoms.  The size, the brand, everything.  (He's not gay.)  When a banana wearing a mysterious extra-large condom shows up in the fish tank, JD is not amused and immediately assumes that Chet has gone through his things.  Most of the roommates side with JD and Sarah agrees to talk to Chet and figure out why he would do such a thing.  It turns out that apparently, Chet didn't take JD's condom at all.  Chet says that condoms are given out in the city like candy and he just thought it would be funny.   This week's lesson: Some jokes, like playing an alarm clock and let people think someone's ringing the doorbell, are funny.  Others, like letting someone think you stole their condoms, aren't.

Was anyone else unnerved when the usually even keeled JD returned home, after an unsuccessful trip out to buy chapstick, completely wasted?  First, he went on a little tyrade about immigrants who can't speak English?  Then, he verbally attacked Chet, calling him a "pretty boy" and refusing to settle down.  While several roomies are having a hard time keeping their cool (and it's only the 2nd episode) Katelynn always seems to always have a good head on her shoulders.  She's been observing the people she's now living with and deciding who is trustworthy.  So far, she has only told JD, Baya, and Sarah that she is transgendered.  It looks like Scott and Devyn will be the next to hear while Chet and Ryan will get "the talk" last.

Speaking of Ryan, he learned the hard way that he shouldn't underestimate his roomies, who have already had enough of his jokes. When the group all headed out to Chelsea, for a night at a gay club, JD dared Ryan to kiss a drag queen on the cheek for $100.  Who wouldn't take him up on that?  As Ryan leaned in for a kiss, the drag queen turned at the last second and kissed him squarely on the mouth.  Ryan immediately freaked, wiping his mouth, with a nauseous look on his face.  When he returned home that night, he literally washed his mouth out.  Ryan, you may be able to wipe that kiss from your mouth, but good luck wiping it from your memory!
