Fang And Kota Tribes Merge On Survivor 17

Well it seems Corinne and Charlie were pretty ticked about Marcus’ departure.  I thought it was dangerous for Corinne to mouth off to everyone else about how Marcus “deserved to be there longer”.  It was admirable that she had Marcus’ back but at what expense….her own neck maybe?

The show started with the reward challenge which was basically a golf game with sling shots instead of golf clubs.  The object was to shoot the golf ball out of a slingshot and whichever tribe got the ball into the hole with the least number of shots would win the hole, and the best two holes out of three would win reward.

FANG won the reward of traveling to a Gabonese village and participating in a great meal, a dance ceremony, and spending the night in a much more comfortable setting than tribal camp.  Even though FANG won there was some fighting between Randy and Matty at the last hole, and even after winning Randy had a sour puss on his face because Matty wouldn’t listen to him when they were arguing.  This guy is such an immature ass.  They won – what more did he want????  I don’t know what he wants, but I know what he needs and that is to get down with a woman!!!!!  He’s got some pent up energy that has built up over the years that he needs to release for goodness sake!  It was absolutely hysterical to hear him talking about how he thought one of the island ladies was interested in him.  There’s a reason a woman hasn’t made a pass at Randy in 20 years, and it will probably be another 20 or maybe even 30 or 40 years before any woman will every make a pass at him.  NO one is that desperate, not even some woman trapped in a jungle would ever give him the time of day.   God, I wish someone would listen to Sugar and vote this moron off!

So Bob got sent off to Exile Island and he couldn’t find the immunity idol (because little does he know that Sugar has it).  With plenty of time on his hands he decided to be creative and made one with his own two hands.  I thought that was a brilliant move and I’m looking forward to him trying to use it at some point down the line.

The immunity challenge really wasn’t a big deal (if you’ve been paying attention for the last 27 days).  It was a good old fashioned Survivor fire starting challenge.  Also, everyone was now competing for individual immunity because this is where the final merger took place.  Each tribe member was given a piece of flint and steel and supplies to get their fires started.  I’m sure everyone was surprised to see that Susie and Sugar were the only two that even came close to competing in this challenge and Susie ended up with immunity.   Of course before the challenge we had to listen to Randy mouth off about how Crystal couldn’t start a fire with a box of matches and gasoline but this dork wasn’t able to get even a flicker started himself.  An angry hateful troll he is for sure!!!

Tribal council was four to four (Susie, Crystal, Kenny, and Matty v. Randy, Charlie, Bob, and Corinne).   Sugar was the swing vote to decide if it would be Crystal or Charlie to go home.  Poor little Charlie, how did he end up making so many enemies?   I thought Kenny really over-reacted to what Charlie did with the immunity idol clue when they had their feast last week and he really didn’t deserve this target on his back.  But now he’s home safe with “his” Marcus so I’m sure love will conquer all!
