Cloris Leachman Refused To Go Home On Dancing With The Stars
By: Mary Cavaliere
The show started with a “repeat” dance number, which was the group number they did last night. Why in God’s name did they choose that one when it was mediocre at best? Jeesh – I couldn’t even watch it again!
Two more young couples danced for us – Craig & Samantha who I thought were brilliant on the dance floor, and Simon & Lucy who were good but didn’t stand out as much. The judges must have agreed because this was the first time they voted unanimously to send one of these young couples on to the finals.
The entertainment for this week was great. First we had the Pussy Cat Dolls, although I’m not sure why they felt the need to add Missy Elliott to the mix. Who’s going to watch a woman rapper in a black sweat suit when you’ve got girls like the Pussy Cat Dolls on stage? She might as well have been invisible. The second performance was this week’s guest judge, Michael Flatley doing his celtic tap routine entitled Capone. It was brilliant as expected.
Once again Susan Lucci and Cloris Leachman ended up in the bottom two and it was anybody’s guess who was going home. Finally, finally, finally Cloris was sent home (although she said she refused to leave the competition). This was all in fun of course, but I’m sure we’ll see her next week on the show for entertainment value. She just won’t be dancing. As for Susan, she bought herself one more week but there is no way she can compete with the likes of Brooke, Lance, and Warren who I believe are this year’s contenders for the title.
