No Elimination This Week On Dancing With The Stars

Because of Misty’s departure last night, no one was eliminated from the competition this week.  However, the couple with the lowest score was announced, and it was Rocco & Karina.   Cloris Leachman was saved once again by the viewers whose votes obviously countered the judges’ low scores.

This week Dancing With The Stars chose the “filler” entertainment for us old folks!  First up was a medley by Kool & The Gang that brought me back to my “younger” days when I was clubbing during the disco era, although while we were watching my 12-year old announced that she knew some of their songs as well. 

The second guest performer was the New York Radio City Rockettes, which I believe appeals to everyone no matter what your age or your gender!

The last special guest was one of my favorite American Idol contestants, and Oscar-winning actress, Jennifer Hudson.   I will admit though, as much as I love Jennifer, I was a bit distracted by the couple dancing while she sang.  It’s hard enough to not take your eyes off of Julianne Hough but when her brother Derek is dancing as well, it’s almost impossible to not watch! 

We were also entertained by Max & Edyta who danced the jive that Max & Misty were supposed to perform prior to her injury.
