Misty May Injured And Eliminated From The Competition On Dancing With The Stars
By: Mary Cavaliere

The night started with an announcement that Misty May injured herself during rehearsal and she and Max are out of the competition for good.  It of course makes you wonder if they’ll choose not to eliminate another couple tomorrow night, but I’m sure they won’t let us know until the very last moment if that’s the case.

This week’s dances were the jive (another one of my favorites) and the Viennese waltz. Here’s my comments on each of the dances and the judges combined score as well as my individual rating:

Susan & Tony did the jive.  Damn this woman has the body of a 20-year old!  I thought she did great with her legs and feet but something about her upper body still seems a bit stiff to me. Judges Score = 21 ~ My Score = 8

Lance & Lacey did the Viennese waltz.  I think Len has it out for Lance.  Why is he nitpicking with Lance and only Lance and letting others slide by?  Judges Score = 22 ~ My Score = 9

Maurice & Cheryl did the jive.  I felt Maurice missed a few steps but he still did a great job (and he looked hot in that turquoise jacket!)  Judges Score = 24 ~ My Score = 8

Rocco & Karina did the Viennese waltz.  I agree with Carrie Ann – Bruno is crazy!  I thought Rocco did a great job with this dance.  It was thoroughly entertaining, he is adorable (and he looks just as good in tight white pants as he does black!)  Judges Score = 20 ~ My Score = 8

Warren & Kym did the Viennese waltz and like the judges, I wasn’t expecting too much.  But not only did Warren pull it off, he did so with perfection.   Judges Score = 25 ~ My Score = 10

Cody & Julianne did the jive. I usually love Julianne’s choreography but this one didn’t do it for me. Judges Score = 21 ~ My Score = 7

Toni & Alec did the Viennese waltz.  I thought Bruno and Len were way off base. It was the most unique Viennese waltz I’ve ever seen and Toni makes an excellent Marie Antoinette!  I give her kudos for doing it in that dress as well.  Judges Score = 22 ~ My Score = 10

Cloris & Corky did the jive (if you want to call it that).  From a comedic standpoint it was absolutely hysterical.  From a dancing stand point it was abominable.  As much as I love watching her like the rest of America, I don’t feel it would be fair to the rest of the contestants if she stayed another week.  Judges Score = 16 ~ My Score = 5

Brooke & Derek did the Viennese waltz and it was breathtaking to watch.  I agree with the judges.  Brooke’s movement is so natural, it’s like she’s been dancing all her life. Judges Score = 28 ~ My Score = 10

The top three couples for the night were, for the third week in a row, Brooke & Derek (28);  for the second week in a row, Warren & Kim (25); and this week Toni & Alec were replaced with Maurice & Cheryl (24).  At risk for tomorrow night’s elimination based on lowest scores are once again Cloris & Corky (16) and Rocco & Karina (20).
