Interview With Jerry Of The Biggest Loser Families

Q. After dropping so much weight what’s the major difference in your body?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: I noticed my appearance was a big issue and how you look and feel is a big deal. I am now doing things physically I have not done in 20 years.

Q. Colleen prayed that you would be able to lose the weight at home, did you have any doubt you could?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: It is and isn’t an issue, it’s like a war and you have to win it. I knew I had to do it and failure was not an option.

Q. What was the biggest change when you got home?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: Making habits, I had really bad habits and the bad habits I had, created obesity.

Q. What tips do you have for those at home who need to lose weight?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: I had to throw all my excuses out the window. People at home need to do it for themselves and want to make a change.

Q. Your bio online said you were the most unfit person to ever do the show, was that fair?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: It is what it is, the show didn’t create this I did. I created this lifestyle which created high blood pressure, sleep apnea and all this other stuff. The life of fast food and convenience makes us not want to get off the couch. What you see is what you get, but the end result is awesome.

Q. What has it been like going back to work on the police force?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: The support has been overwhelming and the chief of police has been so supportive. Now we talk about health, fitness and working out.

Q. This was one of the most heart wrenching eliminations on the show ever, was the decision as hard for you to make as it was to watch?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: Yes, we went in as a team, and it was very hard to go home.

Q. On the show it looked like a drawn out decision, but did you put a lot of thought into which one of you would be going home?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: It was a tough decision. I was in the mindset she needed to stay more than I did. She was a BL junkie and I got involved in this cause I knew I needed it and how unhealthy I was. She was hell bent on me staying there.

Q. Was there any reason why everyone took the week off when you went to the Grand Canyon?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: I was in a good deal of pain when we went there. My back hurt and my ears hurt, it wasn’t an excuse but speaking for me, it was human nature and I was looking for a reason to slack.

Q. What did you learn about your daughter?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: I learned she didn’t make her bed everyday, but God blessed me with some great kids and I got lucky.

Q. Did you feel Jillian was picking on you guys?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: That’s what you call hard love. Jillian’s record speaks for her and she is very knowledgeable. She is a fantastic human being and got her point across.

Q. You said your daughter was a Biggest Loser junkie, was it her idea to apply to be on the show?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: Absolutely, she had applied several times and went to several casting calls. Then they started doing family shows and she penciled me in.

Q. Did you have a back up plan for weight loss if you didn’t make it on BL?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: Before the season started I had already started working with my eating habits and little things like that.

Q. During the casting process did you learn anything you could share with other Biggest Loser hopefuls?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: I really don’t have the answer. That’s not that informative but I can tell you the casting folks at The Biggest Loser picked out some great human beings. The people they picked were great humans, sincere, and those that wanted to lose the weight.

Q. Do you watch any other reality shows?

A. Jerry Biggest Loser Families: No, but the reality people are going to jump me in the parking lot now that I said that. I watch the Cleveland Browns Cleveland Indians.
