Interview with Michelle from Survivor Gabon

Q. When did you realize you were going to be kicked off Survivor Gabon?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: On the way into tribal.

Q. At tribal you spoke your mind, do you think that helped get you kicked off?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: At that point I knew they were going to all vote against me so it didn’t matter.

Q.  The tribal council was unusual and Jeff made you guys pick a leader, what did you think about that?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I think he was making them realize we didn’t have our stuff together and getting someone to lead would be the best place to start. I think the real way to start was to get rid of the dead weight.

Q. Ken really wanted to find love, did you flirt back with him?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: It wasn’t part of my game play and we didn’t click, so I wasn’t flirting with him. I thought he was adorable and thought he was super cute but nothing more.

Q. If you could do it again, what would you do differently?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I think I would have flirted with younger guys more and played that card. I never thought I would be the first one to go.

Q. Why do you think you got picked last?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I have no idea, and it was shocking. I took into account I was smaller than usual and that could have been part of it. When you’re building a strong tribe it doesn’t make sense to pick people like Susie third or other people that are out of shape.

Q. Who would you have picked to be on your tribe?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: My first picks would have been Ace, Dan or Marcus.

Q. Did you do anything special to prepare prior to going on the show?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I prepared by learning to live on less calories and still go about my daily routine.

Q. Did they warn you about any dangers prior to going to Africa?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: Not having face wash, did you see me on HD? I had 10 zits.

Q. What was the casting process like? There are thousands of people out there that apply and dream of being on Survivor.

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I had no idea if I was going to make it on the show even after all the interviews and paperwork. I think they prepared several of us to go but not everyone was called to fly out.

Q. Do you have any Survivor Casting tips?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: Be yourself and be unique. They weed through tons of applicants for the show.

Q. What do you think you did to make yourself stand out during casting?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I was my bodacious self and said what came to my mind.

Q. We know it’s early in the game, but who do you think may go all the way?

A. Michelle Chase, Survivor Gabon: I am rooting for Ken
