There were no guest performances this evening, however it didn’t matter because what they gave to us instead were three choreographed group routines that were spectacular. 

They opened the show with the entire top 10 doing a BOLLYWOOD dance.  I loved the costumes, the colors, the choreography, and the dancing.  Then we got to see the girls perform a Mia Michaels routine.  It was, as usual, an artistic masterpiece.    I sometimes get upset with Mia but I would still watch an entire evening of dancing choreographed by her.  The guys came out and performed a routine that made me smile through the entire piece.  Evidently it was choreographed by the show’s numero uno judge and producer, Nigel Lythgoe.   I loved the routine and the only thing that could have made it any better was all those hunky guys dancing with their shirts off!

This week the judging was left to the television viewer as each dancer competed on an individual basis.  From this point forward the judges cannot save any of the dancers (or choose to have them eliminated either.  The four at risk tonight danced one more time.  I’m not sure there’s really a point to this other than show filler since it doesn’t effect the outcome of who is going home.  But I loved Mark & Gev’s dancing nonetheless.

The bottom two girls were (big surprise) Comfort and my number one female favorite, Kherington.  The bottom two guys were Mark and Gev which was also a bit predictable.  What was not predictable was Kherington leaving and Comfort staying.  Joining her on the road home was Gev.

Congratulations to So You Think You Can Dance for having three of their choreographers (and their make-up people) being nominated for an Emmy Award.  It must be tough for the choreographers to compete against one another but I’m sure Shane Sparks, Wayne Robson, and Mandy Moore are feel honored to even be nominated.
