You don't have to audition, all you do is sign up with a calling service pay $30 mo. they call you if they need extras for a certain show. I worked a lot & got the opportunity to be on a lot of shows + received my SAG card paid $1,450 dues to become Union. You have a lot of opportunities for the industry where you live. Subscribe to Backstage West & get onto everything that will give you exposure. Break-a-leg! Best place to live would be in CA if you are retired it's expensive. The industry is now moving to GA & lots in Canada.
