Funny thought for the day..."If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to serve as a horrible warning."...Wednesday's hello :}

Thank you for adding me! Hope to see you soon. ;) I've actually got an idea for a show b/c it's something I've suffered w/ and have diagnosed in other young women. It's pre-menopausal osteoporosis in females as young as 16. Osteoporosis is NOT an old person's disease like once believed. Due to poor diets, all the soft drinks and caffeine taken in daily, lack of exercise, and rise of full blown eating disorders, we're finding that osteoporosis does NOT discriminate and is much more prevalent than we thought. It is a life changing disease, I can attest to that. Because of it I don't practice as a NP anymore and have had multiple fractures from benign acts like receiving a hug from a child or turning over in bed. I can go on and on, but don't want to take up a whole page. No one has talked about this growing health problem, and young adults and their parents NEED to know before it's too late. Tyra is always helping others, and I'm hoping she'll find this topic important and want to share it w/ the world. The effects are seriously life altering in many ways. Thank you for reading all of this. Sincerely, Lisa
