As far as the agent question - here in Austin if you want to be an extra an agent just takes some of your minimum wage, even if you found the job yourself. But for anything else you won't get an audition without an agent. Don't know about other places.

Spent most of this morning buying baseball glove, bat, net and hitting machine/strap for my son. I figured with his speed and athletic ability he could be the next Pete Rose (minus the gambling problems) Votes are in.
So today is the Strawberry Festival Parade and I'm supposed to walk with my political group. But it is raining so I'm having this internal debate...you should go and do your patriotic duty...but it's raining and Idon't know, maybe I'll melt well at least my hair will, well kinda.
