I wish you this for the New Year: Wishing you a rainbow, For sunlight after showers— Miles and miles of Irish smiles, For golden happy hours— Shamrocks at your doorway For luck and laughter too, And a host of friends that never ends, Each day your whole life through!

On New Year Eave, when you are thinking about 2012 and what you intend to accomplish, remember: Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other. Be safe tonight!

It's Friday and we are getting close to the 2012, so I say this: Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle age is when you're forced to.

A Thursday suggestion for a New Years Party: If you want an interesting party sometime, combine cocktails and a fresh box of crayons for everyone!

As the final days of 2011 tick by, I attached something I have learned in all my years: If you wish to succeed in life, make perseverance your bosom friend, experience your wise counselor, caution your elder brother, and hope your guardian genius. It worked for me!

Remember on this final Tuesday of 2011: Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

A big thought for the day after Christmas: Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
